Overview:
Despite his upbringing as a military soldier John is a relaxed person who doesn’t overdo things unless he wants to. He’s not your stereotypical soldier that is always strict and hardcore, he likes the simple things in life and there’s nothing better for him then to have a cold one after a hard day’s battle. However when in battle he changes to a very determined man as he commands his squad with precision and tactical accuracy, he will not hesitate to go out into the firing line in order to achieve his objective.
Ironically John loves to tinker with technology and electronics even though the AIs are practically running the defence forces to the ground. Despite people objecting to it John does this simply as a hobby as well as trying to figure out ways to defeat the AIs.

History
A hardened soldier of the US Delta Force unit John was a remarkable man in a remarkable time. In a world where technology that seemed to be science fiction, now becoming reality, John had made it clear that sometimes good old fashioned guns and boxing would accomplish the same goal.
John also showed a great interest in technology and he was often seen in the academy fixing things or tinkering with things. It was this habit that he carries with him to Atlantis despite the fact that it was a dangerous habit to continue sporting.
He joined the army and then was selected for the Delta program where he quickly made the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He served a few tours in the military before he was then transferred to Atlantis and given the position of REVOLUTION Red as the commanders knew that he was the kind of man that the team needed to lead the defense of Atlantis

It was just another day for John as he relaxed under the sun, even if an artillery barrage were to occur he wouldn’t have looked shocked or anything. That was the kind of man John was, he was always so relaxed, hardly anything could put him on edge; that was what made him a great leader and squad leader. He could lead his men into the thickest firefight and still maintain his composure and lose it, his been through a lot of things and he was proud to say that he always kept his men alive through any situation.
“Up and at ‘em Seagel, we got a mission for you,” one of the captain said as John opened one of his eyes.
“Do I really have to go?” John asked lazily, “Can I just get a pass on this mission.”
“Several of our boys been caught by the enemy and we need a squad to get them out, and they need someone to take charge. Someone like you,” the captain explained as John stared at him for a moment before stretching and getting up.
“Alright then, when do I go?” he asked.
