Overview:
Sae is a bit introverted and focused heavily on her studies, in order to reach a good school. She doesn’t have many friends, and has trouble making them, as she views herself as an outsider among groups, and just thinks that people wouldn’t want to be friends with her, bringing herself down farther. She has a habit of doing this when she thinks about her situations, wishing she was more impulsive and more open with people, a person people could like. She’s found she doesn’t have a lot of hobbies, and feels depressed at times when she thinks about how much her studies really have controlled her life, to this point. She likes cats and other small animals, and doesn’t like things like scary movies, or just dark things like that, preferring to look at the world as better than it is. She’s a fan of AKB48, finding that a good thing to listen to and something she can really enjoy.

Sae was born to a family who expected well out of her, always expected her to do very well, since her older brother and sister had made something of themselves, as she wasn’t a planned birth. She didn’t mind, and neither did her siblings or parents it seemed. She wanted to live up to expectations and from a young age received encouragement from her siblings, always studying and reading, even before other kids would.

As she grew up like this she realized that she hadn’t had the chances to make friends, unlike her siblings. This started to get to her, but this is the life she knew. She couldn’t really do anything about it at this point, so she just kept going, figuring she couldn’t make things worse in her life. She was doing well, after all, even if she didn’t have friends.

She continued to long for friends as she went through school, but was always unable to make them. She did her best, but always fell back to studying. Her siblings grew up at twice her age, so when she was teenager they weren’t of much help to her in many regards, unfortunately. So she’s still attending school and wishing something would change. That change happened, in the form of Sailor powers, which are just now awakening on their own.

She opened the book on her desk and leaned over, looking at it, reading it. She turned the page and then didn’t bother reading. She thought about it for a bit, then went back, making sure what she had read had stuck well enough. She did it again after another read, getting much better at this new subject at hand.

This wasn’t the most exciting way to spend an afternoon, but she didn’t have any friends she could go out with. She had two. Neither would have time for her, as she didn’t have time for them. The friends were the type of person she was, which made it awkward to do much, if anything.

She closed the book and stood up, looking out the window at people. Wishing she could be different, wishing she had friends, instead of these books.
