Scars/ Tattoo’s/ Other markings: Byrne himself has never seen it, but he has strange a birthmark in the shape of a rose on the back of his neck. He also has a few cut scars on the backs of his hands, and a tattoo on the underside of each forearm, both of different small musical scores.
Accessories: Byrne loves wearing scarves, often in a European knot, which help greatly in the chilly, windy winter days in London, and is almost always seen with a hat on his head, unless he's on duty at work. On his right hip, towards the back, is a thin, cylindrical case which holds his flute, which has been an heirloom for generations.
Clothes: For some reason or another, Byrne tends to always feel cold, which, in windy London, gives him a good reason to constantly wear his favored jackets, usually black or brown suede, waist-length, along with a pair of thick cotton slacks, and various footwear, usually either silver-colored sneakers for casual, or black leather shoes for formal occasions.
Anything Else? In the way of hats, Byrne usually wears fedoras, but also wears ivy caps, always in black, and usually either leather, cotton, or polyester. Also, Byrne usually has a thin mustache and goatee, which he is rather fond of.

Strengths:

• Byrne always keeps a level head, and prefers to think clearly in trying situations.
  
• Byrne is bilingual, perfectly speaking both English and Italian, though he prefers to speak in English, he swears in Italian when angry.
  
• When coffee needs to be made, Byrne's the first on the job, taking his Barista work VERY seriously.

Weaknesses:

• Byrne is very much an occultist, and is deathly afraid of the aspect of vampires (And as such, has trouble fighting Fangires.)
  
• Byrne has a bit of a thick accent, so those who aren't used to the British will have trouble understanding him.
  
• Without having at least five cups of coffee daily, Byrne becomes easily fatigued, and a bit lazy.

Habits/ Quirks:

• Byrne prefers not to smoke, but he occasionally does, usually only when stressed out.
  
• As stated, Byrne is quite addicted to coffee, and drinks no less than five cups every single day.
  
• When he gets sad or has a stroke of inspiration, Byrne starts playing his flute. The feelings are easily told apart by the tune of the song played.
  
• When dealing with Auron or any of the Wild Souls, he tends to speak much more casually than he does with other humans, and always refers to them by the names they had in life, rather than the name of their Mask, unless in battle.
  

Relationships:

• Arthur Nightroad (Father): Byrne's relationship with his father is an odd one, they get along well enough, yet they're total opposites in personality, and rarely actually discuss anything at length.
  
• Victoria Nightroad (Mother): Likewise, Byrne is a bit estranged from his mother, who is rarely around due to work, but when she if around, he is entertained by her various stories.
  
• Auron Oureal (Partner/Henshin Device): Byrne and Auron have a very odd, yet functional relationship. Auron usually rests, until an enemy is detected, and in return for his services is given home, protection, and a purpose. However, Auron's somewhat domineering personality clashes with Byrne's casual and carefree life style.
  

Overview: A carefree teenager, full of potential and a bit of sarcasm, Byrne is your average ordinary Brit. Well, aside from the whole "Protect London from freaky-ass monsters who want to eat people" thing. But otherwise, totally ordinary. Oh, did I mention his mom is a dragon-lady, or that his dad works for a secret company that design weapons and armor made for heroes, and disguised as regular civilian stuff? Or that Byrne doesn't know ANY of this? Anyway, he's a pretty sociable guy, and is always looks out for those he considers his friends.


Hero Stuff
Name: Kamen Rider Cateno
Type Of Hero: Kamen Rider
Henshin Device: Auron Oureal, a member of the Oureal clan of Ouroboreals, one of the Thirteen Wild Breeds. Auron is a bit different from other Ouroboreals, having multiple chains hanging from his sides that drag along the ground as he slithers. On the left side of his silvery metal head is the symbol of Cateno, while his tail has slits in it for his head to snap onto. Until the time comes to transform, Auron prefers to stay wrapped around Byrne's left leg, with his head on Byrne's belt, and his tails on Byrne's ankle, usually asleep.
Henshin Sequence: Byrne taps on Auron's head three times, a signal for transformation. Auron wakes up, slithering up Byrne's leg and wrapping around his waist as a belt. Byrne then plays a short tune on his flute, before inserting his thumb into Auron's mouth to create a Link, then inserting the flute into Auron's mouth to transform, as chains fly out from the Cateno symbol and wrap around Byrne, until changing into the Cateno armor.

• Form Name: Cateno Vuoto
  Image/ Description: Cateno's default form, Vuoto is a simple armor, reminiscent of medieval plate armor, with chain maille connecting the armor pieces rather than the suit normally seen on Kamen Riders. The helmet is streamlined, with a design reminiscent of a snake or a dragon, while most of the armor bears very little decoration, aside from the Cateno symbol on the chestplate, directly over the heart.

• Form Name: Cateno Lupo
  Image/ Description: The first of Cateno's Wild Souls, Lupo is the soul of a Wilfang named Garfen, who was considered odd for wielding swords rather than his own claws. Lupo form, derived from Garfen's preference of adding intimidating armor, has slim body armor, which covers everything but his joint, and his dark gunmetal gray, with blood red accents. Hanging from his lower back is a long orange-red tail, made of metallic fur, and a matching mane hangs from his wolf-like helmet. On his shoulders are spaulders in the shape if hound heads, with the Cateno symbol on the foreheads, giving him a cerberic look. On his knees and elbows are stylized pads (See image in Motifs; Look at the front limb shoulders for the elbow pads, the back upper limbs for the knees)

  Color Scheme: Gunmetal, Crimson, Orange
  Transformation: Cateno inserts the flute into Auron's mouth, and plays a short tune, summoning the soul of Garfen, who transforms into a Mask which Cateno then puts onto Auron's head, causing metallic hairs to flow out of the Mask, and the Lupo armor to form on top of the normal Cateno armor.
  Fighting Style: A style of dual-wielding swordsmanship, in which both blades are usually held reverse-handled, combined with movement at blinding speeds, and integration of various kick attacks.
  Weapons: Fangedge x 2: The swords wielded by Lupo, which have crimson handles, and dull, gunmetal gray blades.
  Abilities: Incredible speed and defense, powerful slashing attacks.
  Eternity Rhythm: Howling Twin Hurricane: Cateno, half-possessed by Lupo, howls out, as he dashes at the foe and slashes them countless times in the blink of an eye.
  
  
• Form Name: Cateno Squalo
  Image/ Description: A deep blue form, built for the sea, created via the soul of Shandir, a very intuitive and outgoing Sharcush with a penchant for the guitar more than most others of his race. Squalo form draws it's design from some of the most formidable sharks, including hammerhead, sawshark, and great white. The head takes the visage of a great white, while the body is streamlined for aquatic combat, with one fin on the back of each leg, two placed parallel on his back, at a slight angle outward, and one on the back of each forearm, with six strings on either arm fin, from arm to tip. These strings are used for sonic attacks, and are nearly impossible to snap. The Cateno symbol is placed squarely on the forehead.

  Fighting Style: An odd mix of using the short Sawsword and Shammer weapons native to Squalo form, the Sawsword in the right hand, and the Shammer in the left.

  Sawsword: A shortsword, made like a sawblade (Not chainsaw), designed to rip into foes, and based on the snout of a Sawshark.
  Shammer: A short hammer, based on the head of a Hammerhead shark, designed to cause blunt force and knock off weapons.
  Abilities: Aquakinesis, Sonic attacks, full aquatic capabilities
  Eternity Rhythm: Aqua Rifftide: Cateno, half-possessed by Squalo, starts playing a riff on the fin strings, creating repeating sonic shockwaves to strike the foe.
  
  
• Form Name: Cateno Giganto
  Image/ Description: A mighty, solid form, derived from the Gigander warrior Big Tony, a rare case of a Gigander who knew how to fight. A heavily armored form, this form is very similar to Kiva's Dogga form, only dark hunter green instead of purple, and the head more resembles a motorcycle helmet with long black hair sticking out of the back, and the addition of a leather jacket and extra leg armor, with tank-treads attached to the feet for easier movement. The Cateno crest can be found on the helmet's forehead.

  Fighting Style: A slow, heavy style of powerhouse fighting, using either fists or hammer.
  Weapons: Giant's Fists: A large hammer, dark green in color, with the impact side in the shape of two fists pressed together at the knuckles, while the back is flat, with metal wires flowing out, looking vaguely like hair.
  Abilities: Incredible power, good defense, large weapon.
  Eternity Rhythm: Giant's Maul: Cateno charges energy into his hammer, and leaps into the air, slamming down on the foe with crushing force.
  
  
• Form Name: Cateno Pegaso
  Image/ Description: A shining white form, derived from Michielo, one of the rare cases of a Pegasire with a horn. Pegaso form is a pure white armor, with flowing cloth hanging from his hips and shoulders, and a wing-shaped split cape hanging from his back, which can change into pure-white feathered wings. The helmet is shaped similar to the head of a horse, with a small horn on the forehead. The Cateno crest is found on the cape, of both sides.

  Fighting Style: A very stylized form of fencing, focusing on thrusts and disarming.
  Weapons: Pega Rapier: A spiral-forged rapier, designed to resembled the horn of a Unicorn, with a cross-guard in the shape of Pegasus wings.

  Eternity Rhythm: White Sky Pierce: Cateno flies up, then descends quickly to pierce the foe.
  
  
• Form Name: Cateno Toro
  Image/ Description: A mighty form, born by Turnal, a mighty Asterian warrior famed for his massive axe. The thick brown armor, which looks similar to cowhide, gives the appearance of a mighty bull, accompanied by the bull head-shaped helmet, complete with golden horns. On the feet, knees, and elbows are also horns, all but the feet pointing upwards, giving his melee attacks devastating force. The Cateno crest is on the center of his chest.
  Motif: Bull, axe

  Fighting Style: A heavy melee bruiser, with powerful axe slashes.
  Weapons: Tauraxe, a mighty axe with a bull's face on either side.
  Abilities: High strength, multiple horns for melee.
  Eternity Rhythm: Mad Rush: Cateno throws the Tauraxe into the air, then rushes at the enemy with a flurry of kicks, punches, and elbow blows, and backs away as the Tauraxe lands it's edge on the foe.

  Image/ Description: This, but replace all the blue/green with dark gray, and add a golden yellow visor. A valorous form, drawn from the wild hero Leo O'Riley. The Cateno crest is placed directly on the center of the chest, jutting out slightly.

  Transformation: See above, replace cowhide with lightning.
  Fighting Style: A wild, animalistic style, combining wild slashes and kicks with electrical attacks.

  Eternity Rhythm: Roaring Thunder: Cateno roars out, and a huge bolt of lightning drops on the targeted foe(s).
  
  
• Form Name: Cateno Ozio
  Image/ Description: An odd form, to be sure. Created from the soul of the young Mylotherian named Milterind, Ozio form is a form heavily based on a sloth, with elongated arms, clawed fingers, two claws on each foot, and shaggy fur covering most of the body. However, there are some features of Pangolins as well, such as scale-like armor plates arranged atop the fur, and a short, prehensile tail. The helmet is shaped like a Pangolin's head, but with long, shaggy hair hanging from the back, with the Cateno crest of the left cheek.

  Transformation: See above, replace lightning with shaggy fur.
  Fighting Style: Slow and calculating, but swift and strong when need be. Thanks to the power of the Mylotherians, Ozio form is infinitely flexible, allowing more ease to dodge attacks and get in hits at weak points.

  Eternity Rhythm: Slow and Steeeaaady...SMASH!: Cateno slowly walks towards the opponent, then, right when he gets close, unleashes a hugely powerful, split-second attack.
  
  
• Form Name: Cateno Capro
  Image/ Description: A unique form, suited for the mountains, or for plain fields, this form is created from the Satris Billy the Kid, and it's uses are unusual. The gray armor is thin and slim, with two spiraled ram's horns on his back, at the shoulder blades, two goat horns on his head, and hooved feet, with hoof-shaped armor covering his hands. Around the collar-line is a thin collar of grayish-white wool, as well as around his ankles and wrists. The Cateno crest is found on the hoof-shaped hand-guards.
  Motif: Goat, sheep, martial-arts.
  Color Scheme: Gray, white.
  Transformation: See above, replace shaggy fur with gray wool.
  Fighting Style: A martial-arts style based on Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, built upon quick movements and hard strikes.

  Abilities: Extreme jumping, great agility and acrobatics, can grow and release wool infinitely for defense or distraction.
  Finisher(s): Quan Kuaisu Yang: Cateno dashes at the foe, and looses a barrage of extremely fast punches, reinforced by the hoof-shaped hand guard.

  Image/ Description: This, with the Cateno crest on the shield and cape. A fiery hero, in armor of red and white, brought about by the soul of the Fenixan knight Feldreo.

  Fighting Style: A traditional style, wielding his sword Tyrflam in his right hand, and his shield Aefing in his left.

  Image/ Description: This, with the Cateno crest on the visor. A holy visage, brought forth by the heroic White Knight Wisel.

• The Nightroad heirloom flute, which is actually the key to activating the Cateno transformation.
  

A simple story. Simple, but of drastic importance. Many years ago, centuries, maybe even longer, a dark force, great in power and wilder than any other, threatened the very existence of the beings know as the Thirteen Wild Breeds. At the time, the Breeds were at war with each other, but the threat of annihilation at the hands of this force caused them to decide against their petty squabble and band together to survive. As the leaders of each Breed gathered, they pooled all of their powers into two members, the Draeveran leader, Arturo Nightroad, and the Ouroboreas leader, Aura Oureal, who then combined all of the power into a new form, a shining silver armor that became known as Cateno. The power of Cateno defeated and sealed the evil force, and all became well.

Fast-forward a few centuries, to the modern day. The next heir of the Nightroad family, Bernard Nightroad, grows up knowing nothing of any of this history, and lives the life of an ordinary human. A young barista at a cafe in London, for him, life is good. He has his own apartment, and is fairly well liked among the regulars. One of the regulars, a man by the name of Drake, became fairly good friends with Byrne, to the point of them often conversing over cups of coffee, and hanging out at local hotspots. However, recently strange things have started to happen around Byrne, and he has no idea what's going on. The seal is weakening, and the ancient evil is awakening, and after nearly a thousand years of slumber, it yearns for more than just the Wild Breeds. It wants the world. The only thing that can stop it is Cateno, and Byrne has yet to learn anything about it. Is this the end, or will the newest Cateno prove even greater than the first?

Sample RP: A slow day at the cafe. Very few customers, and a dull, somewhat dark atmosphere. Byrne, however, paid it no mind, going about his work in his usual cheerful, efficient manner. Just before closing time, however, a strange group of customers came in, and Byrne got a strange vibe from them. Speaking up a bit, he said "Hey guys, sorry, but we're closing in a minute. Think you could come back tomorrow?"

Suddenly, the one in the middle spoke, in a strangely raspy and slightly sickly-sounding voice. "No, I don't think that will be possible. See, we're hungry NOW!" Just as suddenly as he spoke, strange shapes of stained glass appeared in the air, and they looked like fangs. The glass fangs flew at Byrne, but barely missed as he ducked down, and Byrne leapt over the counter to try and get away, dashing past them and out the door.
