Overview: At first it seems as if Kouga is a quiet stoic, but spend enough time around him and you'll start to notice...things.... He'll often argue with imaginary people only he can see and burst into fits of laughter when there's nothing funny to be found. He's growing stronger with each Horror he absorbs, but at the cost of his own sanity.

He cares little for Messiah's plans and is focused entirely on his vendetta against the Makai Knights for the murder of his beloved Kaoru. He tries to keep her memory alive by doing things she enjoyed such as painting, taking care of stray animals, and eating scones.

  Fighting Style: He uses a style that is incredibly acrobatic, dodging as often as blocking and trying to go for a one-hit kill as often as possible. Sometimes throws the Ankokuzan like a boomerang.
  Weapons: The Kokuenken, which can upgrade Enma Zankouken upon summoning Raigo or just whenever he feels like it really. Also wields the Ankokuzan.
  Abilities: Stats that surpass other Makai Knights due to absorbing so many Horrors, Can see incredibly well in the dark, Telekinesis, Can summon thorny rose vines to attack and defend, Blazing Armament, Ankokuzan can produce lightning when spun rapidly, his weapons and armor are made of indestructible Death Metal, assimilates the attributes of Horrors he defeats through absorption

Kouga, like many, many Makai Knights before him, was born to a Makai Knight and a Makai Priestess. He trained hard to one today succeed his father and protect people from Horrors. His mother became sick when he was only a child and continued to grew weaker until one day she was possessed by a Horror.

Kouga watched in horror (pun intended) when his father was forced to cut her down. He grew to despise his father after that day and the rift between them continued to grow until eventually Kouga left home for good.

He continued his training underneath a different Makai Knight who claimed himself to be his father's "eternal rival." News of his father's death came to him soon after he left home, but he felt no sadness or loss. He just continued to train with his eyes fixated on his goal of becoming a Makai Knight.

Eventually, when he turned of age, he met this goal when he was allowed to succeed his fallen father as a Makai Knight. He went to work right away, cutting through Horror after Horror - the whole time thinking of his mother.....

During his time with the Order, he met an up and coming Makai Priestess named Kaoru. Her abrasive personality and zest for life turned him off at first, but he eventually came to deeply care for and even love her.

Then one fateful night, only one year and a half ago, he went to meet up with her only to find her bleeding corpse sprawled in front of a Makai Knight. Kouga was blinded with rage when he transformed and attacked his fellow Knight.

The two clashed for sometime until it seemed as if victory would be in the hands of the other knight until Kouga's consciousness was pulled into another realm. There he met the mother of all Horrors, Messiah, who promised him power in exchange for his servitude.

Kouga agreed, desiring the power to overwhelm Kaoru's killer. He gave up his father's armor in exchange for the armor and name of KIBA. He returned to the material world, the conversation haven only taken a split second in real time, just in time to slay the other knight.

He was not satisfied with that just that and desired for the destruction of the entire Makai Order. He needed to go further and as Messiah commanded - tried to endure his Soul Armor's time limit.

After enduring the Soul armor's time limit, managing to will himself out of his Lost Soul Beast Kiba form by absorbing a Horror, Kouga found that he could assimilate the attributes of Horrors he defeats through absorption, however this came at a serious cost - his humanity.
