Overview: Naoi is a broken man. He rarely speaks, preferring to allow his actions to do the talking. He drinks like a fish, and fights like a master despite his permanent drunkenness. He almost begrudgingly carries out his missions for CIPHRA, since he has little to nothing to live for, anyway.

Naoi doesn’t even remember his old name, since all he’s been doing for the past 10 years is drinking and shooting people. He vaguely remembers when he was a young child, on a farm. His father was a gunsmith, who taught him his art, but he deviated into music, though still learning his father’s art. He met Lillian when they were both 15, and they began dating. While they were visiting Lillian’s family, a group of British soldiers began tearing the town apart, searching for IRA combatants. They busted into the house they were in, and in the resulting fight, he discovered both his ability to access Gunspeed and his natural talent for gunfighting, eliminating 9 men on his own before the IRA for realz showed up and killed the rest.
He began making guns for the IRA, and also ran assassination missions on occasion. He built up his gunfighting skills, making certain to try and prioritize Lillian over his new work. As he continued his work, he inspired essentially a campfire tale among the British soldiers: the Gunman, a humanoid monster, a fusion of shadow and man, who strikes in an instant and moves faster than a normal man. When the war ended, him and Lillian got married. Two years later, when he was 20, Lillian vanished. They found a few effects belonging to her, and declared her to be dead. That is when his slide began.
He began drinking, and drinking, and drinking. He lost his house, his job, his family rejected him, he had little to live for. All he had left was a large number of unpaid bar tabs and his gunsmithing equipment. He was arrested numerous times, and while he drunkenly slept in a jail cell in southern Ireland, a note was delivered to him. He was being recruited into CIPHRA. Having literally nowhere else to go in life, he accepted and took on the codename Naoi, since it was his native language. As he went on with them, he found a lab that was developing an experimental armor that enhanced the user’s capabilities. He took it, made some modifications, and began to use it as his own.
It’s been ten years since he began drinking. All he remembers for certain is his membership to CIPHRA, his gunfighting skills, and lyrics to the song.

Sample RP: Naoi stumbled out onto the street, drunk off of his ass. He was nearly immediately surrounded by thugs.
“Wallet and keys.” One said.
“I’m sorry, osshifer, but I don’t have any.” Naoi said, purposely exaggerating his slur.
“Give ‘em, you drunk basterd.” Another said, lunging for him. A gun flew into Naoi’s hand, the bullet taking the man between the eyes.
“Never mess with an armed drunk.” Naoi said, straightening.
The night rang with grunts and gunshots. A few minutes later, Naoi stumbled out onto the main road, sticking a gun beneath his coat and stumbling off into the night.
