Overview: Team A's captain, Minami Takahashi. As not only Team A's captain, but as a first generation member of AKB48, Takamina is a natural born leader, both on the stage and in the field of battle. She has a Papa Wolf instinct for her comrades, as she doesn't take it lightly when anyone hurts them in any way. Truly, she is a remarkable ally to have, despite her shortcom-- er, flaws.

Henshin Sequence: Takamina exclaims "Ninpuu: Shinobi Change!" before she spins the disc on her Hurricane Gyro, creating a whirlwind of flames around her as her Ninja Suit is formed.

  • Portable Ninja Sword Hayatemaru - Standard sword-based sidearm weapons of the Hurricanegers. Can be charged-up for an energized slash and also be used as a rifle once combined with it's sheath. HurricaneRed can perform the Hayate Way Sword Technique: Gale Slash with this weapon.
    
  • Dry Gun - Hurricane Red's personal weapon. While it looks like it resembles a gun, it is actually supposed to be a hair dryer; hence the naming of Hurricane Red's weapon, which can shoot flames.
    
  • Providence Unified Armament Ninjamisen - This shamisen-like instrument is primarily used to summon and control the Revolver Mammoth by using a Shinobi Medal to play it. Originally used by Shurikenger, it recently came into Takamina's possession. It can be used to create sonic waves with the Hayatemaru, and she can perform the Red Sonic with these weapons.
    
    The sound created by the Ninjamisen reflects the user's skill level. It would sound like a traditional shamisen if used by a novice, or an electric guitar if played by an experienced player; Takamina herself is rather experienced, due to having played lead guitar for "Give Me Five!"

Minami Takahashi was destined to be a ninja from birth. Her father, a student in Hayate's Way Ninja Academy's Air Class and the previous HurricaneRed, enrolled her in their school when she was age five, and she studied both the ninja arts as well as her academic coursework. However, despite her doing mostly well in her academic classes (save for English and Math), Takamina struggled in her ninja training, especially after her father was killed in battle. This, combined with her ever-slowing training, caused her to drop out of the Academy in 2003.

It was then that Takamina discovered her talent of singing, and she entered in a talent agency's competition in August of 2005. However, despite making it to the top fifteen, she failed to win the Grand Prix prize. Two months later, at the suggestion of her mother, she participated in the first AKB48 audition, beating almost eight thousand other candidates to become one of the twenty-four founding members of AKB48, especially due to her having an advantage of her birthday (April 8) and her height (148 cm) having the number "48" in it. She then made her stage debut in December of that year. In 2009, she was officially announced as captain of AKB48's Team A, and unofficial captain of AKB48 and its sister groups.

Shortly after this announcement, at the beginning of the new year, Takamina returned to Hayate's Way and re-enrolled. Using her skills from many years training as an idol, Takamina quickly rose through the ranks, taking on her father's title of HurricaneRed a year later. She now uses this power to fight against anyone who stands for evil in this world...

Anything Else: For those wondering, the term "yankee" in Japanese context means delinquient.

Also, Takamina was chosen to be HurricaneRed because her favorite childhood heroes were another ninja-themed Super Sentai, Ninja Sentai Kakuranger.

Sample RP: Takamina waved to her fellow teammates as she left the AKB48 Theatre. Today was a pretty good show, she thought, even though there were some disrespectful people in the front; thankfully Sakaya called them out on their behavior, and they remained silent for the rest of the show. Sighing in content, she decided to take a shortcut through some alleyways close by. In hindight, though, that would turn out to be a bad idea, because almost immediately, she found herself surrounded by Gedoushuu, who and appeared from the cracks all over the alley.

Reflexively, Takamina found herself in a battle stance, and she began to fight the Gedoushuu bare-handed. However, for every one she knocked down, five more seemed to appear. Sighing she pulled back her sleeve, revealing her Hurricane Gyro. "All right, Gedoushuu... time to send you back from whence you came.

"Ninpuu: Shinobi Change!"
