Oh what a bore, a week had passed since Hajime arrived in Tokyo and not a single shred of entertainment had found its way to him. The gambling parlors here was boring and absent of challenge--although collecting his usual pull-in of winnings it wasn't enough to give him any kind of satisfying feeling. Even his usual acts of murder from within the shadows had bored him, there was no excitement to be had from it, no form of resistance that actually irked any form of emotional response from Hajime. It was all just so... boring.
Hajime sighed, shuffling a deck of cards in his hand repeatedly. The way he saw it, fate was like a shuffled deck of cards--you can never predict what you will draw as any form of order has been ruined. Leaving nothing but randomized possibilities. "The only absolute truth in this world is... death." He repeated one of his several phrases to himself, grinning slowly as he did so.

Kaito wasn't on assignment at the moment, he was just in Japan. No target, no mission, no purpose for Interpol. Just his own desires to fulfill for now.
That happened to be getting a drink in the bar, sitting alone. After a single drink he took his leave, not too into drinking anymore.

Hajime had started to walk again, holding the deck of cards in his left hand which was shoved into his pocket. He thought about events of the past few hours, minutes, seconds--as deep as he could. The man was hungry for a form of entertainment, and despite his love for senseless death and destruction there was simply no excitement to presently have from it. He made a bit of a pout--until he saw something that caught his eye. It was Kaito whom was leaving the bar he had been drinking from within. Hajime smirked, sensing a bit of an unusual... pressure--if you would--about this man. Taking his deck of cards out, Hajime drew the first card--grinning with glee when he saw the card he had drawn was the Joker.
'I've found him... The next poor unfortunate soul...'

Kaito walked on. He was going to go to the gym today, not that he really needed it. Conversion changed that. So he stopped and considered, then shook his head.
He had just realized. Well, there went his plans.

"Excuse me." Hajime walked up to Kaito, a smile on his face as he seemed to put on the mask of appearing quite chipper. "A moment of your time, you see, I would like to ask you a very serious question." Hajime opened his eyes slowly to gaze up Kaito.

"And what would that question be?" Kaito questioned him, curious about what was going on.

"How do you feel about gambling?" The man asked, "Would you say you believe gambling has the power to change one's life?"

"I believe it, but I don't do it," he said.

"How would you like to make an exception?" He chuckled, "Just this once." He held out a deck of cards from his left hand. "The game is to simply draw a card from the deck--if the card reads Joker, you lose. If its anything else, you win." He smiled innocently. "With odds like those, how could you refuse?"

"Because I'm not a gambling man, nor do I know what the point of this is," he said.

"Oh you're simply no fun at all. I thought there was something unusual about you but it seems you're just as much of a bore as all the others. Very well, suit yourself." Hajime tucked the deck of cards, trying to mask his annoyance.

He didn't say anything, he just walked on.

"Hmph. I suppose its time to unnecessarily stain my hands again. Oh well." He chuckled, throwing a red card that seemed to flicker brightly as it flew at Kaito. 'I don't care anymore. Another body count for the record won't hurt, senseless or not. At least I can use these cards from my true form even like this.'

He heard something flying for him and sidestepped, turning just in time to see the card flying past him. He looked at the other man, his hand reaching for his shirt so he could reveal his belt. Yes, something was clearly off here, and transforming now wouldn't probably be a bad idea.

'He dodged..!' Hajime maintained an innocent smile as he waved to Kaito; although truly he was surprised that he had been able to dodge it so simply. He figured it was due to what he sensed earlier--how that this man felt abnormal to Hajime.
