Feelings Toward The Future [Joel]

"Heh, seems like i have belittled..."

Pushing the Driver slot back to the original position, he took out a new Memory and pressed the switch.

Dark!

Slotting it in and flicking it, his armor changed.

Dark Impulse!

He had shed most of the armor save for the bare essentials, the breeze blowing the 2 pieces of fabric on his back. The Scythe Impulse appearing as well as a short handled sickle with an over sized blade. Going with a backhand, he swung the weapon, His speed obviously increased.

"I won't even bother telling you the speed. Experience it yourself!"

[Seigi Yusha]

Seigi let out a roar and charged for Joel, feeling the edge of the blade on his back as he neared in, aiming a punch for Joel's jaw, ignoring the pain currently edging on his spine. He had gotten close at the wrong second, he'd pay for it later, but right now his focus was the offensive.

"Tch!"

Joel carried on with the spin but retreated instead of moving toward Seigi, allowing him to reach out and stop the punch and consequently lost the needed force to finish the cut.

Pulling back the blade so the butt of the handle faced Seigi, Joel pushed Seigi's fist aside and quickly slotted the Scythe Memory into the base, extending the handle so that it slammed into Seigi, forcing him back, revealing that the weapon's true form is that of a Scythe.

[Seigi Yusha]

"You'll have to do better," Seigi called out as he made a swift dodge to the left, extending his fist once more. This time, however, he would make a feint with his fist, going further left once he finished the fake swing in order to deliver a kick with his right leg.

Taking the kick square in the chest, Joel took a couple of steps back before running forward again bringing the scythe down from the top.

However, returning a feint for a feint, instead of a real overhead slash, he leaped over Seigi's head, turning it into a slash at the back instead.

Landing a short distance away, he sprung back to carry on an onslaught of slashes which Seigi had seemingly no trouble dodging.

"I am sure by now you will have felt something is not quite right?"

[Seigi Yusha]

Taking the slash to his back, Seigi toppled over for a second before picking himself up just in time for the onslaught of slashes. Quickly evading what could've been a potential game-ender, he nodded in response to Joel's question. "Keep faking the fight for a while. It'll reveal itself soon," Seigi whispered, throwing a weakened punch into an opening.

"Well then..."

It's about time...

Joel moved, and considering the time he had kept in motion, he had sped up at least twice his normal speed. Using that momentum, he moved a distance away and came in for another assault.

[Seigi Yusha]

And sure enough, a group of Worms had appeared, surrounding the immediate area with all of their green disgustingness. The did their little gurgling noises, dancing around in preparation of attack.

"Well, this just got really pretty..." Seigi sighed, looking around. "And I was enjoying our little spar, too..."

"Screw this...I am going on a killing spree!"

Borrowing Seigi's shoulder, Joel flipped over him and headed to the Worms and started to cut them down, one by one.

Careful not to lose momentum, he remained in motion, darting and weaving between spaces to strike at their blind spots.

[Seigi Yusha]

"Beast Out!" Seigi called as his Tokens were ejected. He swiftly grabbed them, replacements in hand were promptly slotted in.

"Henshin! Water Eagle!" the Anima Driver declared as Seigi was absorbed in an orb. The orb broke up, revealing what could only be described as a man-eagle.

Seigi flapped his wings and looked toward Joel. "We're gonna take this to the sky!" he called out. "You ready?"

As some of the Worms fell, the experienced ones got out of the way, striking at Joel.

Remaining in motion, Joel kept out of reach of the Worms. He called out in reply to Seigi.

"Just do it! I'll Follow up!"

[Seigi Yusha]

Letting out a quick roar, Seigi took to the skies, doing a quick loop before flying down toward Joel and grabbing him, flying even higher. "You'll have to make a move, quick! I'm scared of heights!"

[Joel Amano]

"The hell you're using a flying form if you're scared of heights!?"

Joel shouted as he switched the Dark Memory with the Light Memory.

Light Impulse!

As soon as his armor formed and Claymore Impulse materialized, Joel slotted the Claymore Memory into his weapon and placed the Impulse Memory into the right slot, slapping it.

Impulse Maximum Drive!

"Bring me right on top of them and drop me!"

[Seigi Yusha]

"You're acting like it's a choice!" Seigi declared as he flew over the horde and dropped Joel from a non-fatal height. Once he did that, he fell from the skies and slammed right outside of the horde, twitching and fidgeting as his fear kicked in, paralyzing him.

(Gladly.)

"Damn right you have a choice! Impulse Flash Breaker!"

Swinging the fully charged weapon with both hands, he sent a the energy arcing down, leaving a large gash on the ground where the worms stood. Recovering quickly as he landed, Joel scanned the immediate vicinity for any more pests.

Satisfied they were finally alone, he strolled over to where Seigi crashed, slightly covered in dust. Picking him up with his free hand, Joel casually shook him a bit to clear off the dust.....and promptly gave him a headbutt to the face.

"How long are you planning on staying still eh? Geez, I had to do most of the work here. Not that I'm complaining mind you."
