She threw the book across the room. She was bored, and it wasn't helping. She just wanted it to be time to go, even if just for the sake of having something to do.

Hikaru continued to practice - losing himself in the melody.

Inori just curled up into a fetal position/ball and tried to sleep in her chair.

"Young master," said a maid standing in the doorway, "Young master!"
Hikaru stopped playing and turned his head.
"Yes?"
"Your date is in less than thirty minutes. It's best you get going."
Hikaru nodded before handing her his violin. She stepped out of his way and he headed to the garage.

Inori hadn't noticed. She figured she'd wake up when he arrived.

Hikaru sat in the back seat of his limo as it departed the manor. It passed Gorisaki and the horse still on their way home. In a matter of minutes, they arrived at the apartment building with five minutes to spare.
Hikaru didn't want to seem too eager, so he stood outside her door for those next few minutes.
Finally when his watch turned eight P.M., he knocked on her door twice and waited.

Inori heard and got out of her chair, walking to the door, opening it for him, "I need to change, unless you don't mind this," she said. She had a pale pink skirt, tall brown boots and a pale colored blouse on.

"I think it's lovely on you, really," he first said upon getting an eyeful of her, "But it's a little too causal for what i had in mind."

"Come on then," she said, leading him to her bedroom, ignoring any thoughts that might come to mind. She threw her closet open, "What would work, then?"

"Hmm," he said examining the contents of her closet, "Ah hah!"
He took out the Santa suit.
"This will do just fine," he grinned.

She snatched it from his hand and threw it on the bed, "No."

"I was only kidding," he chuckled.
He reached back in and produced a dress which looked fancy enough to at least pass for non-peasantry.
"Here," he said handing it to her, "Put this on."

She took the dress, "Get out."

He thought about arguing, but quickly decided against it and left the room. He looked around, both amused and curious.
"So this is a peasant's apartment? Interesting."

"I'm not a peasant," she told him through the door.
