Lyude sent the mecha for Saix, building up into Tensora King, minus an arm. It clashed against the enemy mecha, but was smashed back without much resistance.
"They'll die," Jayce said.

Lamier tried to stomp on Jayce's feet, at least to cause enough pain for him to let her go and then to make her escape, she would do anything as things were getting desperate enough as it is.

He was surprised, "Die then," he muttered, about to apply the pressure to slit her throat, but he stopped. His hand trembled, and he dropped it, "Run!" he told her, moving away from her. He had broken through and taken control of himself back for at least the moment, eying the knife and considering taking his own life at this point just to keep the others safe from him.

Jayce pulled out his card and transformed, scanning another card, dismantling his mecha from the gattai, leaving Saix alone with his Boar.
"There's your opening!"

The gattai attacked the lone mecha, punching the boar to knock it back, but without an arm, it couldn't do its finisher.
