Jayce watched the two of them with a smile, but turned away again to go back to what he was doing.

"I'll get some things, wood and that," Lamier said as she went to get some firewood to get a fire going.

Lyude nodded, letting her go as he went back to Jayce.
"Why don't you just tell her?" Lyude questioned his friend, "That's the reason you begged me to bring her along, wasn't it?"
Jayce sighed, "It was."
"Then do it."
"I can't. It's not right to do it now."
"You said it was perfect!" he told his friend.
"I did, but...," Jayce shook his head, "I just can't..."

Lamier continued to get firewood, unaware of the conversation taking place between her brother and his best friend, humming to herself innocently.

Eventually Jayce caught up to her, pretty much forced out of the camp by Lyude, "I've come to help," he offered.
