The thought of him kissing her came back. She associated the house with that.

She walked towards Kai, "I...I want to make sure that you...you don't want anything more from me...," she said, unsure of how to put it. She planned on touching his heart, and if something went wrong, well, Eisuke was only there for that reason.

She walked up to him, about to place it on him, and then touched him, closing her eyes for a moment.

His eyes close at the same time, the Ring's power glowing. She sees at first a deep annoyance with the other man, then deeper still, he had come to apologize for his weakness. There was hope there....but as he read her...that hope disappeared...extinguished. He required nothing from her, and she was still free to stay....but now he knew how she felt....and she could feel that it hurt him deeply.

"I'm sorry that it hurts," she said softly. "When someone gives you their heart you need to be careful not to drop it, whether you asked for it or not," she stated, "I don't mean to drop yours."

"I didn't mean to drop yours either. The pain will subside....in time...and you won't be the cause of me falling to despair." he said softly. "At least..." his voice cracks and he looks away. "at least I know how it is now....even if I don't like it."

That may have seemed insensitive, while he was clearly pained, but she had said it. "I'm sorry," she told him.
