A sort of low level growling noise could be heard in the murk below them.
"Shit. I tempted fate, didn't i?"
From the murky depths, a beastly crocodile poked out its head.
"...Hun...gry...." it whispered.

"This'll be fun," Claire smirked before the crocodile mutant snapped at Dante with its powerful ripping jaws.

Dante managed to dodge the bite before giving it a vicious kick on the snout before punching it to the ground.

"Gurrrro!" it cried out before slinking back into the water.
"That was easy," said Claire, "Too easy."
The crocodile mutant then reemerged this time occupied by another even larger crocodile mutant.
"Aaah, that one was only a baby."

The bigger crocilde mutant howled in pain as its skull was smashed against the ground.
The smaller one went to avenge its fallen mother (?) by attempting to bite off Dante's leg.

Dante kicked the smaller crocodile's stomach before then smashing his Square Crushers against it's skull sending it into the wall, "Come on, let's get out of here as fast as possible," he said to Claire.

Dante climbed the ladder as well before sighing in relief, "Well that wasn't exactly my plan, but it seems I got you home safe and sound," he said as the Warden's home was in sight.
