Overview:Ryoga tries not to be a selfish prick, but his actions usually end up coming off as the opposite. Everything he does always ends up looking like he only did it for his own benefit. However, he is by no means a selfish ass, and will usually go out of his way to help someone (though, this is usually due to his overly sensitive conscience). He has even made friends with his Phantom and will desperately search for Phantoms when Pegasus Cross gets hungry.

  Abilities: Like in Horn Style, he can shoot off his horn and grow a new one. Horn Cross’s horn, however, homes in on the target and explodes on contact.

  Transformation: Ryoga places a ring on his finger and moves his hand to his belt. “Astounding! Cross! Your evolution is never-ending!” the Pegasus Driver declares as his arms morphs into the Spike Cross style.
  Fighting Style: Same as Spike Style’s, combined with taking advantage of his exploding spikes when necessary.
  Weapons: Gallatin – The sword summoned by the Gallatin Ring. It enhances the abilities of magic cast by the holder.
  Abilities: Spike Cross’s spikes explode based on his will. They will also promptly grow back after exploding.

History

About eight months ago, Ryoga was a simple ring-maker who worked in a small family store creating and repairing rings. Unlike the common sense thing most stores use, this store loved to gather its own materials to use. It made the store “unique.” Ryoga was taught how to scavenge and use different kinds of materials to make different quality and style rings. He had his first encounter with the Phantoms during one such material hunt, and it’s an encounter he would never forget.

Ryoga was a Gate, and this more than gave the Phantoms enough reason to pursue him. While he was in a cave collecting basic metals, a Phantom had trapped him inside. He was stuck in the cave for three days while the Phantom attacked at random intervals, and he had begun to lose hope. Just as his Underworld had begun to break, the Pegasus Phantom had suddenly stopped. Unbeknownst to Ryoga, he had accidentally found the Pegasus Driver while scavenging materials, and had been holding onto it the whole time. Right before his Underworld had completely broken, Pegasus activated its powers using the Driver, destroying the enemy Phantom and freeing Ryoga from the cave in one giant magical explosion. The Phantom then appeared before Ryoga in order to strike a deal with him. It would cooperate with his wishes in exchange for him providing it mana by defeating other Phantoms.

Ryoga stood in front of a hot furnace, boiling down metals in order to refine them to make them worthy of being part of a ring. He was used to handcrafting things like this, it wasn’t an easy job but it had become second nature to him. As he took out the boiling metal, he examined it, made sure there were no solid lumps. He poured the metal carefully into ring-shaped forgers, and then immediately dunked the forgers into a pool of cold water in order to force the metal to solidify. He was silent throughout the whole process, the only sound coming from him being his breathing. At last, it was done. He had created new rings.
