He nodded before heading over to a locked door.

Akio unlocked the basement door and stepped inside.
"I'll be right back," he nodded.
Kaori noticed her girlfriend's nervousness.
"Ayumi-chan? Is something wrong?"

Akio soon returned carrying an object wrapped in cloth.
"I don't really believe in curses," he said, "But knowing Kaori i was sure she would be interested in this so i brought it with me to Japan."
He gently placed it on the front counter and began to unwrap it.
"It belonged to my teacher who claimed it contained a great evil."
He finished unwrapping to reveal a dusty, antique hand mirror.

The moment Ayumi saw it she felt...nothing, there was nothing there at all, she looked at it deeply and shook her head, "I don't feel anything malicious coming from it," she said to them.
