Sayaka recoiled from that, looking away like she'd been slapped. How....how could Sae know?...and what happened to her bravado from before, with Sae's father?

There was a long...pregnant pause as Saaya slowly swung her stiff legs over the side of the bed...taking a seated position. "Sae.." she began, reaching out, taking her hand. "I think you know that I protected you...because I'd give my life for you in a heartbeat...I'm serious." She paused, searching herself for a way to continue...she wasn't done, but Sae could interrupt her....Saaya hadn't done this before.

Saaya blushed. "Hey, I was just getting to that! You know I haven't done anything like this before!" she protested...before calming herself, and just cutting to the chase. "Sae....we've known each other for a long time...and I feel we complete each other....I'm in love with you, Sae....would you go out with me?" Saaya's heart was racing, her cheeks flushed deeply.
