Yuki was taking a walk at night. Her friends had told her to stop doing this - it was dangerous, especially alone. Yuki shrugged it off. She had her Ranger Key now. She wasn't afraid of anything. "KYAAAAH!" she blurts out when a black cat bursts out of a bush and runs by her. Okay, maybe there were things she was afraid of.

"Ah! Come back! I just wanted to pet you." A voice could be heard nearby, as emerging from the bushes was a tall young man--leaves in his hair and around his clothes, as he appeared to have been following the black cat. Seeing that the cat had gotten too far away, he grimaced. "Looks like I won't be catching up to him now, oh well..." He sighed, exhaling some--although perking up as he noticed someone in the corner of his eye. A young woman to be specific.
"Oh, evening, Miss." He smiled at her warmly. Raising a hand as a sort of wave to her.

Yuki was still a little freaked by the sudden appearance of a cat and then a tall stranger. She pats herself on the cheek a little to get herself focused.
She does a little curtsy, "Good evening. Was that cat yours?"

The man rubbed the back of his head, making a bit o a shy laugh, "No, not at all, I just saw it looking lonely so I wanted to pet it. I guess its not too warm with strangers." He chuckled.

Yuki giggled though she backed up defensively. She was alone in this dark alley with some stranger she had never met before.
"Do you come here to pet stray cats often?"

"Not quite..." He told her, "I like to go for walks at night, its a bit strange and some people would think you suspicious for it. I find though that the city's most peaceful and enjoyable when it's dark out." He explained to her.

Yuki nodded, "I see."
Not wanting to be rude she introduced herself, "My name is Yuki and you are?"

"Its Ryota." He stated simply, smiling at her, "Its a pleasure--Yuki-chan." He nodded once as he said her name.

"The pleasure is all mine, Ryota-san," she smiled.

"There's no need for such formalities." He told her, smiling shyly--he wasn't used to anyone using formalities with him before. So this was kind of a new feeling to him--and it felt a bit strange. Probably only because he hadn't been accustomed too it.

Yuki shook her head, "No. No. No. That would be terribly impolite of me."

"I guess? Hah, I wouldn't be bothered though by it." He told her, "I guess I find being referred to with such formality because we should be equal as people. There's some people who will try to kiss your ass or be overly formal to make you out to be superior." Ryota explained a bit, but he closed his eyes, smiling some. "Of course, you're not doing anything of that sort, Yuki-chan."

Yuki nods, "I just believe in being formal. Do you mind if i call you Ryota-kun instead then?"

"Haa... Sure, why not?" He smiled warmly at her--he felt '-kun' was more equal than being referred to as by '-san'.

Yuki was running out of things to talk about so she just stood there and awkwardly smiled at him.
