The End Of Diend? [CASS]

[Cass Hoban]

He hadn't fired at the barrier. He was smarter than to try that. He was unsure of of what to do about the two new monsters. No; Iris was his foe. He could leave the monsters for now.

He lifted his weapon and pulled the trigger three times in rapid succession, picking up the sear each time to fire faster. He had to take out this copy first, and then he could deal with the monsters.

[Ezekiel Iris]

Damn, he was trained. The shots hit him in quick succession and Ezekiel took a step back, accidentally tripping up and landing on his back, there was no time to use the "Diend Blast" card, he'd just have to fire normally.

He pulled the trigger and fired a single shot while he clambered to his feet. Panting Ezekiel stood up and rushed to the side firing the occasional shot, he was starting to realise that he couldn't beat the "Real" Diend in a fair one on one fight

He was lucky this wasn't a fair one on one fight ...

The Eagle Undead dropped downwards aiming to drop onto Cass's back while the Crow Imagin landed on a nearby building and cocked it's head watching the action below, waiting for a good opportunity to attack. Ezekiel looked round the corner, training his gun on Cass.

Cass span and fired three rapid shots towards Iris while going down from the Undead on his back. He rolled, ramming an elbow up at the monster and then a knee, before finally ramming his gun into its chest and opening fire rapidly, hoping to take it down.

The Crow Imagin jumped down to take the hit for Iris, vanishing into thin air. Iris huffed and drew another card, sliding it into his gun and pulling the trigger.
ATTACK RIDE INVISIBLE

Iris ran behind Cass, still invisible and hoping he wouldn't hear him, and that the smoke surrounding them would hide any dust or gravel that had been kicked up ...

The Eagle Undead grabbed at Cass's head and tried to peck him before he was flung off onto the ground. There was a crunch and the kaijin rolled over onto his feet and rushed forward. Then Cass's bullets hit home and the creature disappeared in a flash of red, green and blue.

Then there was nothing but distant screams, far off shots and the crackle of dying fires.

And a voice, a voice lost within the smoke ...
"What is "Diend"?" Demanded the disembodied voice of Ezekiel Iris "What are we? Who created us?" The voice stopped, when it spoke again it was coming from a higher position than it had been earlier "The devices we use, where do they come from? Why are my cards blank or torn?" Another shift, and a sound similar to the sounds made when he summoned monsters.

The voice was higher than either of the other times? On top of a building? Except this time it wasn't a human (Or rather "Inhuman" one) it was a mechanical, though slightly warped declaration.

ATTACK RIDE: BLAST[/color]

Cass span around, seeing the blasts raining at him. He had to be fast. He couldn't take those hits without being too damaged. He focused, using the innate speed of his suit to run straight forward, under the rain of shots, going for the spot he had seen them come from.

He jumped onto a broken wall and pushed himself up, pulling himself up to that position, "I don't know anything about our powers or cards or anything," he said, lifting his weapon and simply firing four shots at where he thought his invisible foe may be hiding, "I just know that I should defeat you."

[Ezekiel Iris]

The first shot missed.
The second shot missed.
The third shot missed.
The fourth shot hit dead on and Ezekiel Iris returned to the visible spectrum.

He growled at Diend, dropping to his knees, not from the pain of the smoking graze on his right side, but simply to reach out with his left hand to try and reach Diend's neck so that he could squeeze his black sinewy fingers around the rider's throat and then choke the life from his body.

Every eye on Iris's body blinked, accompanied by that awful sound like a thousand locusts in flight as each one flickered closed and then opened again.

"I am going to kill you ..." He growled.

[Cass Hoban]

"To kill me you have to have some sort of skill," he said, lifting his weapon at the newly visible Chinomanako, "You lack that much. Maybe as a human you can kill me, but I have the armor now. I'll be the one to kill you!"

[Ezekiel Iris]

"You forget that I have an armour as well," Ezekiel pointed out, grabbing for Diend's neck.

[Cass Hoban]

He lashed out his foot for Ezekiel's chest, driving as much force as he could forward, trying to break it with that. If it didn't work - he didn't think it would - he had another idea.

The dark rider started to wrap his fingers tighter around his good counterpart's neck, beginning to chuckle a little.

[Cass Hoban]

Cass started to choke. He lifted his arm, putting his DiEnd Driver in his foe's face, as best as he could.

"Bad...bad move...," he choked out.

[Ezekiel Iris]

Iris froze. Then chuckled, it sounded inherently evil, like something about his vocal chords was corrupt.
"Clever, though you are forgetting one little thing that I have and you don't," Ezekiel, quick as a flash, let go of Cass with his free hand and fell to his back, hoping that Cass hadn't regained enough strength to stay gripping to the wall and that he'd drop off.

Even if he hadn't he still had a plan, rolling back and then charging full throttle towards the edge of the roof. It was old, corrugated steel, no, it had been corrugated steel. But that had been years ago, now it was rusted, it crumbled like a cookie.

Ezekiel fired at the floor and the whole roof collapsed into a dark dusty room full of smoke.

He looked around. Loathe as he was to admit it Cass was better than him. He had to run, had to get out.

He had to escape.

[Cass Hoban]

Cass hit the ground. He struggled up, his shots being unable to land on his foe. He groaned a little, climbing back to his knees and hands, slowly coming back up and swaying, groaning a bit. He looked up through the hole; he'd have to go around the outside to get back up.

He had to stop this guy. He knew he could; he was winning this fight, he figured, even if it wasn't going well for either of them.

[Ezekiel Iris]

Ezekiel rushed towards a wall, it didn't matter which, houses in this little shanty town weren't built to survive this sort of onslaught. He'd be able to break straight through the concrete and onto the street ... well what was left of the street at any rate.

Iris leapt through the wall with a crunch and then landed on the floor. He stood up and watched rather casually as the two storey house teetered and collapsed into dust and debris. He blinked, all the eyes on his arms, legs and chest fluttered open and closed.
"... Ah." Was all he said.

Well it was good he'd got out when he did! Evidently he overestimated the structural integrity of the building. No one could survive being crushed under there ... no. No that wasn't right, Ezekiel knew from experience that strange things happened. Besides he didn't even know if Cass had been in a position to be squashed under the building.

The dust started to flow around him and he turned, running away as fast as he could.

Cass wasn't in a good position. He had taken some hits from the falling rubble, but his speed as DiEnd had at least helped him evade the worst of it. He stumbled around, looking for where his foe had gotten away to.

Where was he? Cass couldn't see him. He lifted his gun and span around, looking everywhere around him. He couldn't see Chinomanako.
