Hunter was assigned to do a fight today, against a captured Grongi. However, the staff didn't have much confidence in having students fight it, apparently. He was going to have a partner of his choosing, and the fight was an hour away.
As he hurried across the campus, he called Deanna. She came to mind first.

Deanna was sitting outside, studying. She liked to sit outside on occasion, when she did her work. Somewhat suddenly, her cell phone rang, and she picked it up, seeing it was from Hunter. She placed her stuff somewhere she could find it again, and answered.
"Hi, Hunter." Deanna said.

"Arena fight with a Grongi, I need a partner," he told her. "In an hour."

"How often have you been fighting?" Deanna asked, a note of concern entering her voice. She personally had been fighting somewhat infrequently as of late, which allowed her to focus on schoolwork

"At least one, two fights a day. I need to up my rank for my brother's sake. I've won and lost, so I haven't moved at all."
