The castle sat in the hills and mountains, a terrible place, truly, but not really, not in the past. But as a storm came in, it stood as the only refuge for anyone stuck outside in it.

Natalie was soaked to the bone. She was kicking herself HARD for not looking up the weather. She should have KNOWN to make sure it wasn't going to storm if she was going to test her Cyber Slider's upgrades. But no, and now the fog and clouds were too thick to fly. And even then... the lightning. Natalie shuddered as she thought of the lightning in the storm, forking its way down. And her only protection from it was a suit that had electronics in it - and thats a no - or an umbrella.
Natalie was SO glad that she had picked up an umbrella when she brought the backpack with her. She had only intended tobring a backpack with her so that she didn't leave the Digi Morphers unguarded. Ever since Control had managed to break into the ship and stole the Psycho Driver, the morphers went where she did. At least that way, Control would have to go through her to get the Morphers.

Bede looked out from one of the tall windows in the castle, out into the storm, into the rain. But at least here it was safe and dry.

Natalie quickly ran up to the door and grabbed the door knocker. She knocked twice, trying to huddle under her umbrella.

Bede had been walking away and hadn't seen her. But he heard the knocking. He moved downstairs and into the main entrance way, slowly opening the large door, saying nothing.

Natalie waited, quietly. She jumped when she saw a blast of lightning out of the corner of her eye.

After a time he spoke, "I see you probably want refuge."

"I don't plan on staying long" Natalie said. "I just would like to ride out the storm inside. I was seperated from my ...cabin by the storm."

He looked at her for a few moments, "Don't stay long," he said, opening the door completely into the large, ancient foyer.

Natalie walked in, eying around suspiciously. She wasn't sure if she should trust this guy. Hell, as she put away her umbrella she opened the lid on her Digi Morpher.

There were torches affixed to the wall, and fires in the fireplaces. He walked into another large room which looked much better. More torches, more fireplaces. There was a long table low to the ground with pillows on the ground in place of chairs, and on the far end was Gaeri, lying in white dress with the gold jewelry on and golden ribbons through her hair. Her eyes showed nothing to Natalie, though there was a flash of something, but it was quickly gone.
"We have a guest," Bede commented, "She won't be here long."
"It's fine," Gaeri said softly, her voice carrying across the room. "Please, sit and eat if you would like."

Natalie sat down cautiously, crossing her legs as she did so. She removed her wet sweatshirt to reveal her slightly less damp t-shirt. Thank god she had chosen to wear a dark color today.
"This is a nice place you have" Natalie said, trying to hide the intimidation in her voice. This castle was pretty intimidating. Maybe it was a gamer's instinct, but she wasn't fond of stone castles. One too many playthroughs of Devil May Cry perhaps.

"It's been abandoned for some time," Bede stated as he moved to a side of the table, "It's been in our family for generations. We've only just returned to it to try to reclaim our place in society."

"I see" Natalie said. "All my family left me was about eight bucks in a shoebox." Eight bucks, eight stitches, she'd rather not bring up that detail when there were other problems at hand. Natalie turned off the sound on her Digi Morpher, pressing the 3 twice. If something were to happen, she would be ready. Admittedly if she were in the same position she wouldn't just let in people walking off the street but Natalie wasn't sure what to think of the owner. He just gave off this uncomfortable vibe, probably not helped by the stone castle.

Gaeri nodded absently, writing on her end of the table.
Bede moved to take some food off of his plate when another boom of thunder came, this time able to be heard inside. "It's getting worse, it sounds like."
