Doctor Aesop walked through the long narrow hallway with a stern look on his face and his hands folded behind his back.
He stopped in front of a door, guarded by two heavily armed men.
"Doctor Aesop, sir," nodded one of the men, "You're clear to enter."
"Hold that thought," said Aesop, "I'm waiting for Professor Stewart to give me the grand tour he promised."
He looked at his pocket watch.
"Only one minute left before the promised time. He should hurry. I do not tolerate tardiness."

"I do apologize for the wait sir."
The voice came from a young man walking down the hallway. He looked to be about thirty, but the guards flinched as he walked forward, as if there was something more to him than what he looked like. He was clad in a long white labcoat, with his eyes hidden behind a pair of lab goggles.
"I was tending to the subject" Stewart said.

"Very well," Doctor Aesop nodded, "I and the other Heads are looking forward to your progress on the project. You may even please the Great One."
Aesop nodded towards the guards and they opened the door.
"Now shall we begin?"

"Please" Stewart said, leading the way through the doors. "We have a well equipped facility here Doctor. I assume that you have heard of my greatest success so far."

"Your security force need improvement," said Aesop sternly, "They look weak. A hero could've easily taken them out if they had the little intelligence it took to find this place."

"Admittedly we are a bit understaffed" Stewart said. "However, we do have countermeasures. Once we have the generators activated, this entire facility will be sealed off with a forcefield. Only those with a clearence badge will be able to enter the five miles around the island."

"The Five Heads believe in the success of this project and will be sending over more people and resources quite soon," said Aesop, "Continue to show good work and you will be further rewarded."

"Thank you sir. The remaining captures should be much simpler now that I have equipped the Drones with teleportation devices" Stewart elaborated as he led Aesop to a jail cell. "And this is the little bitch responsible. She froze half a city block trying to fight back."
Alex was splayed out on the floor of the small cell, her hands cuffed and an chain shackling her left leg to the wall. The shackle beeped every so often, a small red light blinking on it. The cell was furnished with nothing but an old bed attached to the wall and a toilet a couple feet away from it.

"Hmm, so this is the Geki Juken user?" Aesop grinned slightly but only for a split second, "Interesting specimen. What results has your research produced so far?"

"Fascinating stuff" Stewart said. "She can freeze with her powers. That ankle bracelet extracted a sample, and I'm waiting on results for it. In the meantime she can't fight while chained up like that - she's a boxer as it turns out. And her brace is built to keep her from using her powers or transforming." At this point Stewart was just bragging. "With any luck, it will nullify the magic of the time traveller's brother."

"Magic? Time travel?" Aesop coughed, "Yes of course. Even in our increasingly advanced world, such arcane and preposterous things exist. Good work, Stewart. Soon it will all be in our collective grasp."
