Christian gripped the hilt of his weapon in both hands and pulled hard, tearing the blade from the man it had found itself in. The man fell to the ground, dead. He had been a problematic one; he had run from his fate, but he hadn't been able to outrun it. He had been fast, however, and he had almost escaped.
It was early morning, so someone would find the body soon. He had hoped to let it lie around longer before discovery, but it couldn't be helped now.

Cassie walked down the streets without a purpose. The only reason she wasn't at home asleep was because she couldn't GET to sleep. And so, she decided to do some patrolling. What she didn't expect was to trip and fall next to a dead body.
"Oh what the hell?!" Cassie said, trying to resist the urge to just morph then and there. She gave the body a quick lookover without touching it, careful not to accidentally incriminate herself. Thankfully it didn't take much effort to notice the sword wound straight through the guys chest.
"So, probably not a normal murder then" Cassie said, walking ahead. She'd normally try and follow and kill whatever caused it, but she had no leads. And so she walked, dialing 911 as she did.
"Someone was murdered. I know because I nearly faceplanted into his chest."

When Christian returned later, he found that there were police on the scene. Someone had found it soon after he left. That wasn't good, he had hoped for more time, but it didn't matter. It's not like anyone knew it was him.

Cassie walked out of the police station, pulling her jacket back on as she did. She figured that since she had discovered the body, she might have to give an alibi. She would be fine with that if it wasn't for the fact that she had none; she had no friends, no family, and lived alone. So, she hoped that they wouldn't suspect her and that they would let the girl who discovered the body while walking down the street at 3 AM slip through the cracks. Stranger thing have happened, she rationalized. She walked towards the first all night diner she could find.

By that time Christian had gone out into the night again, cutting down another man in short order. That had been an easy man to find, someone who needed to die.
He stood over the body as he pulled his bloodied sword from the man's back.

Cassie luckily didn't find this body. She walked into the diner and ordered a coffee, looking through her cellphone.
"Did I know anybody who killed people with a sword?" she wondered to herself. She briefly considered some form of ninja, until AKB came on Pandora. "Yeah I doubt she's running around slaughtering people in America."

As Christian walked, he heard someone shouting. A cop?
Well, that wasn't very good luck. He had been ordered to put his hands up. Of course, he wasn't going to, but someone found him?

Cassie sat in the diner, sipping her coffee. She winced as it went down, tasting really bad. A waitress walked upto her booth and smiled. "Can I get you a refill miss?"
"Yes, please" Cassie said, smiling as the cute redhead poured more coffee into her cup. The waitress then walked away, tending to another diner. As soon as the waitress's back was turned she drowned her coffee in cream and sugar. Just because the coffee tasted like feet, that didn't mean it was the waitress's fault - that and Cassie could never turn down a redhead.

Christian whipped around and threw a knife at the cop's gun, knocking it away. It discharged on the impact, the shot hitting ground. The gunshot of course rang out.

Cassie dropped her coffee as she heard the shot. She slipped out the door in the confusion, transforming as she ran towards the scene.

Christian stayed there for a few moments before turning and hurrying away.

Cassie pulled up to the scene just in time to see Christian run from the cop. "Not happening" Cassie said, revving the Siege Raider and chasing after him.

Christian span, letting his robe fling around in the air and obscure an arm movement. As soon as it was clear, he threw a knife for her bike.

The knife knocked out her tire. Her bike skidded, falling out from underneath of her and causing her to roll onto the ground. Cassie whipped out her Sieg Blaster and fired, slowly getting up from off of her knees.

Christian moved to cover, a chunk of the flow of his robe being shot through by her blasts. He moved behind a wall, pulling the sword from its sheath on his back.
