She really didn't like Japan, but she couldn't do much about it. This was where she was based now, and she was proud of being in Rescue Fire, working for the UFDA. She'd rather be in London, or Europe in general, but it was more likely she'd fall under at least part of her father's shadow then.
This was better, even if she didn't like it.
She walked around on a rather busy street, trying to orient herself and find somewhere to eat. This wasn't going well so far.

Maya hummed to herself as she walked down the street, a little girl walking around alone was enough to attract trouble, but Maya was well defended from trouble. Trouble usually found her, and when they did they ususally regreted it. Right now though...Maya was lost as she had no idea where her parents were after getting seperated from them.

There was still no luck finding anything of use. She may be able to speak the language, but reading was another matter, and it troubled her.

Maya then saw a woman looking just as lost as her, she wondered if she was a tourist as she came up to her, "Excuse me, are you lost?" she asked in perfect English.

Oh, good, English. She didn't need it, but it worked.
"Kind of," she said, "I live in Japan, but I haven't been to this area yet. I'm trying to find where I can eat."

"There's lots of restaurants over there," Maya said pointing down a road, "cafes down that road too."
