John was sitting in the bar, talking to a rather pretty blonde, easily an 8.5/10. She was apparently a lawyer, which made this interesting because he had to pull out his best stuff. The Lorenzo von Matterhorn had failed with amazing speed, so now he was just talking to her. Serena was already asleep, since apparently cryo-stasis drains the hell out of the muscles. That combined with time travel practically conked her right the hell out. So he needed a companion for the night, since he hadn't had a chance to put the moves on Serena.

Manami walked into the bar, looking around as she stepped inside. Nice enviornment, not to chaotic (though a few drinks are all it takes for person to cause some ruckus). She didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary, though she was sure that that'd change. Weirdness seemed to be attracted to her like a magnet.

The blonde walked away, giving John some money to pay him back for the drinks he'd bought her. He pocketed the cash and finished his own drink before scanning the room for another potential candidate. His eyes settled on a fairly attractive Asian woman wearing black leather. He began thinking about what to play on her, mentally flipping through the catalog.

Manami still didn't notice someone looking at him, so she went and ordered her drink, sitting down and sighing.
