Cath followed. The two women were walking down a relatively quiet street, with the only real attractions being a pet store and a somewhat nice bar, that seemed to have live music.

"Um, are you legal age for drinking?" she asked.

"Last time I checked, the drinking age in Britain was 18. I'm 18. Therefore, I am of legal drinking age." Cath said.

"I kind of want to head into here first, though. Looks like it's still open." Cath said, walking towards the pet store.

"Why?" she asked, "Are you looking for a pet?"

"I suppose that might be nice. I could certainly afford one, but it might distract me." Cath said, entering the pet store. It was a mostly open room, the walls lined with tanks containing fish, lizards, birds, even hedgehogs. In the center of the room were two pens, one containing puppies and one with kittens.

Noa looked at the puppies and kittens, "I wouldn't mind one. Money is my problem, though. I think I have time; I have no idea." Hopefully things would start going better for her and she could get more of a job.

Cath picked up one of the kittens, a small white ball of fluff. It meowed at her, and Cath practically melted. "Oh God, it's adorable!" Cath said, stroking it.

"Yes it is," Noa said, picking up another one and petting it.

The owner, an older man with graying hair, walked out of the back of the store. "The kittens are 50 pounds each." The man said, fiddling with something behind the counter. "I could use a companion." Cath said, continuing to stroke the kitten she was holding.

"I'm not certain how Deacon would react..." Cath said. "Why don't you get one?"

"I'll pay. I've got more than enough to afford it."
