"Is this where you put on a pair of sunglasses and pull out a memory-wiper flashy-thing?" Eliza asked.

Kakeru chuckled, still dripping crimson liquid life from his arm. "Nah, those guys're based out of Manhattan, but I've got 'em on speed dial if you'd prefer the flashy thing."

"Nah. No need to make 'em waste the effort." Eliza said. "Also, you might want to get that looked at. And could I have my shopping bag back?"

Kakeru looked over his arm, chuckling. "Just a scratch. Well, a buncha scratches. That are bleeding profusely. Just a flesh wound. As for the bag..." He looked behind him, seeing the bag torn into bits. "Howsabout I reimburse you for double the value, since it's...well...yeah?"

"I suppose that could work." Eliza said. "And you seem to be losing quite a bit of blood. I'd suggest getting that looked at rather imminently."

Kakeru chuckled again. "Nah, I'm fine." He insisted, as the color visibly drained from his face. "Totally...totally fine. Not...about...to...Nope." He wobbled a bit, before regaining his balance. "I'm...just gonna go bring this guy to my boss...and take a nice long nap...and eat a nice big feast."

"Okay, I'm calling 911." Eliza said, pulling out her cellphone and dialing the numbers, her finger hovering over the call button.

Kakeru panicked a bit. "N-nono, don't do that. They're not properly equipped for this. My employer has all the medical facilities I need. So...I'm gone. Ciao." He reached into his coat pocket, pulling out about thirty dollars, handing it to her before turning to walk away. "Keep the change."

"Thanks." Eliza said, deleting the numbers out. She watched him walk for a moment, then turned to continue on with her day.
