Overview: Arthur sticks to being laid back and enjoys cracking jokes. During missions however he adds a layer to seriousness behind his words and actions but his fun attitude still leaks through some of his banter. It's difficult to make Kusanagi angry unless harm is inflicted to any innocent bystanders or someone he considers an ally is also harmed. Some of his modifications did include his brain due to the damage being so severe which is a factor to any pent up rage being released during any moments of Arthur being angry during times of stress.

History
At age 12 Arthur started taking karate lessons, at age 15 he started fencing. When he finished his education in highschool at age 18 he obtained his black belt and finished with fencing to move onto kendo. Arthur's parents were both KIA during a mission in the military which left him with the option to live with a guardian but turned down the offer to try to live on his own, he spent a good 2 years with his friends Claire Aster and Jeff Walters as they rented a house and all worked separate jobs and worked a schedule so that someone was always home.
At Age 22 Arthur, Claire , Jeff joined the "World Defense Military". During their training Arthur was quickly scouted to be posted in a special Ops unit meant to track down and take down Kaijin in different countries, his allies where moved onto the carrier that housed the squad and transported them as a secure transport.
3 years later Arthur was made the commander of the squad while Claire and Jeff both joined under his command. Arthur's previous commander, Matthews was made the Captain of the ship they served on. During a time where Kaijin sightings were low the team was moved to anti-terrorist operations. During one of these missions the team was ambushed and attacked by Undead which attacked both the team and the terrorists, Arthur managed to defeat 2 Undead on his own with a machete and received another promotion for such an action. Arthur was made a special agent used to hunt down Kaijin, in the meantime someone from his old squad was promoted to team leader.
1 year later Arthur was sent on a mission in Africa alone to track down a Kaijin, after finding the Kaijin he was quickly attacked and severely injured. This Kaijin, "Daguva" intended to leave Arthur alone to bleed to death but Arthur attempted to attack from behind with a knife. Daguva responded by tearing his arms out, breaking his legs and set his remains on fire. Luckily a dispatch from Black Fang had been sent to try to recruit Arthur and found him shortly after Daguva left.
Arthur barely survived but was able to pull through, the operation to save Arthur took a year to complete. His limbs needed to be replaced and his muscle tissue was replaced as was his organs. His body became 90% machine once the operation was complete, that same year was the time taken to build his unique sword. Arthur was briefed about his situation, at first he was hesitant but upon hearing the goals of Black Fang his interested peaked and he quickly grew to support them. Arthur accepted the new Codename of "Kusanagi" as he accepted the duty of being an agent for Black Fang.

Kusanagi dropped onto the ground and looked ahead at the 2 Undead that were closing on him, "This brings back memories." he chuckles standing up drawing his katana. Kusanagi spread his legs into a stance with his sword pointed toward the Undead. One looked at the other and shrugged, it then turned toward him and ran toward Kusanagi, the Undead was a couple feet from Kusanagi who responded by taking a step forward and with one fast slash. The Undead stopped in its tracks as it passed Kusanagi and lowered its hands and head, Kusanagi slowly started to sheath his sword , once the sword clicked into the sheath the Undead had a cut through the center of its body appear, the torso fell off the hips onto the ground face-first as the legs collapsed. "How about you?" he said looking to the other Undead, it turned around and started to run away but stopped as a sword tip pierced through it's forehead. Kusanagi pulled the sword out and swung the blade to get the blood off the blade and onto the ground and sheathed it, the Undead fell onto the ground. Kusanagi sighed looking up toward the sky through the jungle branches at the full moon.
