Lamier hovered above him as she defended her brother from any surprise attacks firing her crossbolt every step of the way.

Lyude panted and ran for Jayce, slashing. Jayce parried and took a single step back. He rammed that knee up, into Lyude's face to send him to the ground, rolling away, visor cracked from the force.

Lamier was conflicted, on the one hand she wanted to hurt Jayce for all the things he did to them all but on the other hand his feeling for her made her hesitate.

He walked towards Lyude, "Get up. It's not sporting if I kill you while you're down." He cast his glance up at Lamier, but didn't move to attack her. This was a duel for now.

A card rouze later, the remainder of the mook creatures were being assaulted by a flaming hammer and sword, along with the monster, the youngest of them would not allow them to interfere...even if she did want a piece of Jayce herself.

Lyude ran for Jayce, keeping himself lower, partially due to pain. Jayce swung his Bute out, extending the whip of it, ready to attack. He started to swing his arm, but Lyude shot his wings out, shooting himself into Jayce's arm and knocking the Bute away while flying him into a tree and backflipping off of him.

Nezumi's heart-rate was elevated, adrenaline pumping as she blasted one with a fireball from the hammer, impaling him with the other hand as she spun around, kicking a third back into two more. Giving a nod to her sister figure, she turned around to meet the monster's attack head on, struggling for position...

The frog creature moved away from the Aidangers, gaining distance and unleashing energy bolts in every direction as a shockwave from its large stomach.

Nezumi crossed her arms, jumping up and taking flight as her beautiful gold wings extended, pointing her hammer at the creature, several fireballs heading for him in reply.

"Come on, we'll do a pincer attack," she told Nezumi as she went and flew around the creature's rear and began firing her bolts at him.

Saix dropped to the ground in front of the attacks, spinning around and throwing his wings out, using the power of his card to raise stone and earth to deflect the shots.
"Go," Saix hissed to the monster. It backed away and vanished in a golden flash, back to the ship.
