McKenzie reached up to the leather pouch she had taken to wearing around her neck, feeling the nine coins that sat inside of it. She looked out at the cold ocean, being alone here today due to the cold. It was a windswept location, but there was an odd beauty to the cold and stormy qualities.
She felt a pulse of power from her coins, considering using them. She chose against it as she dropped her hand.
Someday she'd need to learn about it, she was sure.

Maya was playing nearby on a beach, she had again snuck away from her bodyguards to play here. They never let her play otherwise and she was so bored at the hotel, so she decided to play in the water for a while.

McKenzie left her spot and started back in on the land for now. It was starting to get cold for her.

At the same time Maya started her way back, walking alongside McKenzie coincidentally as her lion began to growl a bit, "What's wrong?" she asked.

"Oh n-no I'm talking to my toy," Maya said as the lion stopped growling, but it's eyes now stared at McKenzie continuously.
