Alastor slipped the ring onto his finger.
"Snug," he commented before swiping the ring across his Hand Author.
KAPPA, ASSEMBLE?
Alastor watched as the turtle-like PlaMonster appeared out of thin air.
"That's weird," he titled his head, examining it, "It's not automatically coming to life like when you did it....."
He then inserted the ring into the back of the kappa's head like you do with an ordinary PlaMonster and waited.

After a moment, the PlaMonster's eyes lit up, and it looked around, then looked back at Alastor, almost managing to look confused, before, like any proper Kappa...
It bowed, then straightend back up, looking at Darian.
"Just a demonstration, Kappa. He was curious to see if he could summon you." He then looked to Alastor. "My Hand Architect channels the power from the Ring to the PlaWeapon remotely, so I can save time in a fight. Sometimes you just don't have time to put that ring in."

Alastor crossed his arms and nodded, "True. So what sort of weapon does this little kappa become?"

Darian grins, and pulls out the ring he'd used to transform Phoenix before.
"Kappa!" The Ring then started to glow. "Transform!" Kappa then tucked its limbs into its shell, which flattened as the hands and feet came out of the belly to form a bracer of sorts, while the head moved to be in the center of the top of the shell, leaving its head-bowl pointing out, before it flipped into the air, and onto Dairan's arm.
It was a buckler. "Alastor, meet Guard Kappa."

Alastor nodded, approvingly, "How well does it fare in combat?"

"Well, Kappa's not really an attacker, but that shell is pretty close to unbreakable. Havn't had anything get through it yet. In this form I can even channel attacks back."

"... In here?" Darian glanced around. "Let's do it outside, so we don't blow my shop up." He chuckles, nodding to Clive and Luna. "Feel free to look around... or watch." He then transformed back into Artifice, without dislodging the Kappa.

Alastor hopped off the desk and strolled back towards the front door.

Darian took a breath, then headed out the front door himself. Good thing hardly anyone was in this part of town. I made him less worried about collateral damage as he stood down the street from Alastor, readying his shield.

Alastor cracked his knuckles before scanning another ring.
CONNECT, PLEASE
He then reaches his hand into a magic seal and pulls out......a giant bubble wand?
"You ready for this?"

"... I'm... not sure." Darian looked over his shield, reaching behind his back for another magic ring. There was a glow from the ring. "Kappa, Vortex Reflector." The bowl in the center of the shield, at that command, started to glow. But little else seemed to be happening.

Alastor positioned the rather wide ring of the Mystic Wand in front of his mask.
He then took a deep breath and blew as hard as he could, as an automobile sized bubble began to form. Alastor blew again causing it to rush forward.
"I'd be careful if i were you. My bubbles pack quite the punch."

Darian nodded, bracing the back of the shield as he watched the bubble. Once it hit, the shield would try to gather the energy of the explosion in the bowl on the front of the Buckler.
