Midnight Run (Open)

[The Diamond Dogs]

Mamoru revved the engine on Alsatian and drove through the streets. Alsatian howled at top speed, to the protest of his partner.

Slow the hell down!

Why? I'm having a good time!

Mamoru was about to send another telepathic message to the buddyroid he was driving, but was interrupted by chatter on his radio.

"Diamond Dog1 do you read?"

"I read you loud and clear" Mamoru said in response.

"Metaroid spotted on main street" the dispatcher said.

"Lets get going" Alsatian said aloud, with his rider turning the bike.

[Takumi Hirata]

Takumi walked with his hands in his pockets when he saw Mamoru heading off. He just felt like something was off, he didn't know why. Was it his instincts? The instincts he didn't understand?

He walked. He'd see what would happen. Maybe he'd end up with that man, maybe not. He just went the same direction for now.

Alsatian barreled down the street towards, turning onto main street. Once there Mamoru dismounted, with Alsatian turning back into robot form.

"Any sign?" Alsatian shook his head slightly, with the two slowly walking forward. Mamoru fingered the hilt of his sword, ready to get to work.

[Takumi Hirata]

As Takumi walked he drew a single coin out of his pocket and looked at it. He clenched it into his fist, feeling the power radiating from it, slowly feeling the influence of the Greeed overtaking him as he went towards Alsatian and Mamoru's location.

[The Diamond Dogs]

"Where is this damn thing" Alsatian said, lifting up his gun. When a shop window shattered, Alsatian crouched and pointed his gun. Another broke and Mamoru extended his sword in the opposite direction. Every window broke, causing them to look in every direction.

[Takumi Hirata]

Takumi stood back and watched the situation as it developed, smiling.

[The Diamond Dogs]

A single mirror remained.

Mirror monster?

Probably.

Both transformed as quickly as possible, their secondary weapons primed as they approached the mirror.

[Takumi Hirata]

As Takumi walked, his belt appeared on his waist and he flicked his coins into the air. They were sucked into the belt, his body lit ablaze as he assumed his form as Ankh, approaching the scene.

[The Diamond Dogs]

A large dragon emerged from the mirror, hovering above them. The green drake dove at them, claws out, and Alsatian fired both of his guns. Mamoru followed up by jumping in and slashing the dragon with and overhead slash.

[Takumi Hirata]

He lifted his hands and looked at his claws, letting them light aflame. He threw his arm forward, sending flaming darts.

The flaming darts bounced off except for one that pierced a spot in between scales. The dragon landed, whipping at Ankh with its tail. Alsatian stood still, firing both of his guns at the belly of the dragon for minimal damage at best. Mamoru jumped onto Alsatian's shoulders before jumping off at the dragon, stabbing forward.

Ankh took flight, deciding to just watch for now, and choose his target later.

Mamoru jumped onto the dragon, slashing at the back of its neck and creating a weakpoint on its neck. The dragon seemed to figure this out, throwing Mamoru off and into a wall, crashing there.

I'm okay.

[Takumi Hirata]

He shot down, readying his claws for the neck. He chose his first target.

Alsatian lowered his Sonic Buster, instead focusing his Morphin Buster at the back of the neck with his blaster. He fired slower, charged bursts at the neck. Some hit, some didn't.
