He vanished as he digitized himself. But the damage was done. His digitization and appearance elsewhere had screwed up his body, while this wounded.
When he opened his eyes later, End was gone.

Delete watched the fight unfold from the hidden Cybership. Control walked away and Delete smiled. "She might be a worthy second" she said to thin air.
