Ahim walked alone through the streets, looking at the busy people going about their days, the people together. Friends, family. She had family in Pieter, close family. But what hurt to see was the couples.
As she looked at some of the men, she thought of Joe, that man she had lost. Who had lost his life...
She shook her head and kept it down as she walked, clad in a usual dress. She felt a bit out of place, but it was who she was, and that's all there was to that.

Rin was sitting on a stone wall up ahead, parallel to the sidewalk...just contemplating her place in life...she wasn't originally from this time..and she felt like she was getting older...and she didn't iike that.

Her eyes rose....paying Ahim heed. Something told her, that something was interesting about this person...like she seemed out of place too...and followed her from a distance.

Ahim kept walking until she reached a park, sitting on the bench and looking at the fountain. She remembered being here with Joe in the past...

"Well...maybe not out of place. But...perhaps feeling like they're missing something...or someone. I know the feeling." Rin said softly, aware that she probably seems a little weird at this point.

Rin noticed that it was true. "Sorry. I didn't mean to refer to any sad memories." she gave, sitting down on the other side of the bench from Ahim. "Sometimes I just feel out of place....don't know a lot of people and I get overlooked. But...that's par for the course. I'm Rin...my apologies for the intrusion."

"Nice to meet you as well." Rin said, leaning back against the bench. She wanted to ask Ahim about what she was remembering, but she'd already said she wouldn't bring that up. "Well...it's a nice day to do some reflecting, at least."
