The touch on her arm made her turn her head. Her heart was beating faster then, and a memory came back. She pulled her arm away and stumbled away from him, panicking, even though it was innocent and nothing. But the memories just came back, frightening her. She moved away from him and fell against the wall, sliding to the ground and drawing her knees to her chest, putting her arms around them and lowering her head.

Nathan looked at her....then looked at his hand... then remembered where he'd touched. His mind came back a confused mess. "Umm...sorry. I didn't know.." he gave, lamely...unsure of what to do. Way to go.

Her eyes couldn't keep focus as she looked down. She looked up at him, but couldn't find any words to say, couldn't find any motions to make. The memories were too painful.

Nathan sighed....he saw the pain in her eyes, and it made him feel terrible. "I'll just....go in another room and give you some space. Yeah...sorry." Nathan gave awkwardly, walking out. She'd been so attractive too....but someone must have treated her bad...and as he walked out into the hall and just sat there on the floor, his fist clenched. He wanted to find whoever'd done that to her and beat them up.

She cried while she was there, whispering to herself, to him it was meant, "I'm sorry..." repeatedly.

Nathan sighed, leaning against the wall while sitting on the floor. This definitely had not gone as planned. He wanted to hug her, but she would have taken that as a bad advance. So much for spending time with this woman...no, McKenzie. That was her name...

She didn't go back to him. She stayed in her flat alone, never going back to say anything.

He sighed, and got up, walking out. Another bar, for him then. He found his bike, and went on.

She knew it was nothing wrong, that touch, but...
This was something she had to get past. She felt terrible about this, but there was nothing else she could do now.
