Overview:
Ayumi is a reserved woman who doesn’t like to get too involved with men a lot, she is a Miko in her family shrine and therefore has great respect for Shinto religion using her spiritual powers to fight monsters. She doesn’t like noisy people because she likes silence, much like her home is, however she does not openly express this dislike though if the person is noisy enough she would calmly try to shut him/her up.
She is also quite smart, being able to keep up with schoolwork though this, added with her quietness, made her an ideal candidate for a housewife. Many boys have hit on her and she had rejected all of them, making it difficult for her to actually find love, despite this she tries to be open about herself in the hopes that she would be able to make some friends.
Ayumi is also an obedient girl and never goes against the wishes of her family, she wants to make them proud. Even if they tell her to do something she disagrees with she would not go against them, she might try to convince them but she would never blatantly disobey them.

Abilities: Akuryo Taisan: One of Ayumi’s powers as a miko. She threw an ofuda at the enemy while yelling "Akuryo Taisan." When the ofuda was placed on an opponent it could immobilize them, or as in the R movie, purify them of an evil influence.
Fire Soul: Sailor Mars shot a fireball from her fingertips.
Fire Soul Bird: A more powerful version of Fire Soul that was in the shape of a phoenix.
Burning Mandala: Sailor Mars' upgraded attack, in which she shot rings of flame at her enemies.

History
Ayumi was born to a family of priests, as such she has lived in the shrine for most of her life and is sheltered about most things. Her family always kept her spirit ‘pure’ in the hopes that she would become a strong Miko and assist the next head of the shrine. However secretly Ayumi wanted to be more then just a Miko, she wanted to be somebody that would be able to help people and not just be a miko serving someone.
However she was loyal to her family’s wishes and she never complained about anything her mother chose for her. She went to the school that her mother recommended and studied a lot to get good grades. She was also beautiful and reserved making her the subject of many boy’s attention, but she rejected them all knowing that her family would not approve of such conduct.
One day when Ayumi was walking home a bracelet fell from the sky and into her hand, which was conincidently outstretched at the time, she wondered where it could have come from. But seeing as that no one had claimed it, and that it was unlikely that anyone would seeing as how she was alone at the time she simply took it without realizing what it was.

“Ayumi you’re going to be late!” her mother called out as Ayumi stepped out of her room and simply nodded at her mother’s statement. She wasn’t really late, but her mother always wanted her to be early to school. Although she didn’t mind going to school early she did wish that she would be able to go to school a little later then now, but she was an obedient child and didn’t want to dissapoint her mother. So she had little choice but to wake up at this hour.
She went downstairs where her mother, brother and grandfather was, “There you are Ayumi, now hurry up or you’re going to be late,” her mother chided.
“Yes mother,” she said softly as she sat next to her brother and began to eat her breakfast. Maybe she’ll talk to her mother about this after she got home from school.
