It Was a Demon [Kyle]

[John Jones]

Killings were common, especially for a homicide detective. Normally, they were gangland executions or sometimes revenge murders, but never an occult sacrifice before. John had been called out all the way to Germany for this kind of death. Apparently, he had "expertise" that the German Police were looking for.

Unfortunately, he had missed his plane, so had to get another one, and arrived in Germany much later than he should have. It was a pain, not to mention he was still waiting for his bags at the airport.

[Kyle Walker]

"Why are we here?" Kyle asked as Rookie led him through the airport, by the hand like he was a toddler. "Aren't we supposed to deal with British psychotic occult killers?"
"He is British," Rookie sighed, trying to keep her voice down unlike her partner "At least ... he might be. Look it's the same as that killing from three weeks ago, just in a different place, what if it's a serial murderer?"

Kyle conceded a bit and kept walking. The two stopped and stood by the conveyor belt with all the bags on it.
"... We shouldn't have done this," Kyle said, quieter than he had been.
"I know that now!" Ruksana snapped back.
"... What if it's been stole-"
"It hasn't."
"Bu-"
"It hasn't."
"You don't kno-"
"It hasn't been stolen! It's right here!" Rookie snapped, grabbing a metal case and pulling it from the conveyor belt along with a slightly bigger silver box.

Kyle reached out and grabbed hold of a black and white stripy suitcase ...

[John Jones]

"Well, my luggage has gone." John shrugged, rolling his head around on his shoulder. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed another man holding his bag. The black one with the white stripes. His stripy bag. Quickly, he strode over and produced his police badge.

"Detective John Jones. I think you have my suitcase."

[Kyle Walker]

Kyle turned around to look at the other man, fumbled in his coat and took out his own badge.
"Kyle Walker, Metropolitan police," He replied "This is my bag,"

Rookie contemplated telling him that it actually was the other man's bag, she could see the tag on it, But then she remembered he'd been a pain in the bum on the plane, she'd rather watch him squirm.

"And we need to be somewhere very important very soon if you don't mind," He said in the rudest way possible.

[John Jones]

John's mouth hung half-open. Was this man for real? "You might want to check the tag on it."

[Kyle Walker]

"Oh? I should check the tag? You mean the tag that says-" Kyle's face went red as he read it aloud "Detective John Jones ..."

Rookie smirked as a very sheepish Kyle held the bag out at arms length.
"I- I think that my ... my own bag is over ... there," He said, handing it over to John before walking to the terminal.

Rookie looked over to him, put one of the cases she was carrying down with an extremely loud "CLUNK!" and then held out her hand to the detective.
"Ruksana Nayar, Metropolitan Metahuman Criminal Prevention Unit, no we haven't thought of a snappier name yet," She said summing up the first two questions she was always asked ("What is your name?" and "Isn't that a bit of a mouthful?" as succinctly as possible).

"I'm sorry about him, he's ..." She sighed with a smile and shrugged "He's only human," Rookie picked up the huge case and nodded at Johnathan's badge (Or at least the pocket she thought it was in) "Interpol right?"

[John Jones]

"Special Police Detective." John flashed his badge, which was actually in his other pocket. "That's quite a heavy case you have there."

[Kyle Walker]

Rookie looked down at the big metal case in her hand, smiled and then looked back up at John.

"So it is," She answered with a slightly coy smirk. "But we couldn't leave it back home now could we?" Kyle wandered back towards them blushing bright red. The young man looked at Rookie, then at the other guy. "Well?" Ruksana asked in the most patronising tone she could manage.
Kyle sighed and brought out his ID card.
"Kyle Walker, Metropolitan Municipal Crimes Prevention Unit ... that's not it is it?" He winced, almost as if in pain and shook his head. "Just ... um ... Kyle Walker, same as her,"

[John Jones]

"Kind of nice to meet you." John said. "John Jones, Special Police Detective."

[Kyle Walker]

"Thanks," Kyle said dismissively holding a bag identical to John's "Well this one's definitely mine, come on let's go," He said picking up one of the silver cases and heading for the check-out.

Ruksana smiled to herself.
"I swear he's still a seven year old inside," She remarked to John "So, are we allowed to know what you're investigating or is it top secret?" Ruksana asked as she walked along after the speed walking Kyle, who was muttering to himself about Rookie palling up to that guy ...

[John Jones]

"Seeing as we're all cops here, there's been some killings. I've been sent to investigate."

[Kyle Walker]

"... What sort of killings?" Rookie asked "Only that's half the reason we were sent here too,"

[John Jones]

"Since you're police..." John dithered. "Occult killings."

[Kyle Walker]

"They wouldn't happen to be out in the middle of the countryside, away from prying eyes and possibly linked to a man using the pseudonym "B.C Crowley" would they?" Rookie asked looking up at him "Because if they are then I think we should exchange notes,"

There was a pause and she looked over at Kyle.
"And if they aren't then um ... don't tell him I told you anything," She chuckled.

[John Jones]

"B.C. Crowley? I believe so." John nodded.
