Overview: Ayane is a kind and gentle girl who’s only wish in life is to protect the Emperor and Japan, she is willing to give her life if the situation calls for it though she won’t go down without a fight. Because of the nature of her duty she has difficulty making friends and the only people she trusts are those that the Emperor trusts and those that she trusts, but only after she has observed them and gathered enough information on them.

History

Ayane was born to the Haji Mon Clan, a clan of shinobis that have served the Emperor since the reign of Tokugawa Ieyasu, she had been trained since birth in order to take up the duty of protecting the Emperor and the people of Japan as the Royal Shinobi as she was born under a new moon at a specific date and a specific time; as such she did not have much of a social life and her mindset was set for one to serve the Emperor to her utmost ability and to giver her life for the country of Japan.

She trained diligently and hard, becoming a natural combatant and expert in disguise and stealth, she was hailed as a genius and that only spurred her to work harder. At the age of 18 she had completed her training and she was given the armour that all Royal Shinobis wore and took the name of Yaiba no Yami as she swore she would become the Sword of Darkness for the Emperor, striking down all evil and anyone that wished to harm Japan, the timing could not have come any better as the rise of Riders, Sentais and Kaijins meant that Japan was under constant attack and they needed the shinobis to strike down the evil and protect their way of life.

Ayane jumped from tree to tree, the darkness covering for her as her feet echoed in the silent night, she stopped at one tree and looked at the Emperor’s palace, even in the night it was still as grand as it is in the day and as she watched the tourists slowly throng out of it as visitation hours were over she wondered briefly how it would be like to be a normal person and being able to be with family.

However Ayane shook that thought out of her mind, “My duty is with the Emperor…I have no family, only the Emperor and my clan is my focus” she said to herself as she jumped away from the branch and headed towards the Emperor’s private room where she would receive her next assignment. Overview:

Ryu is your stereotypical shinobi, he is quiet and calm and rarely exposes his emotional side though it’s not to say that he does not have any. He is intensely loyal to his clan and to Yami willing to give up his life in order to protect them as he has since he was a young man, he believes that with the changing time there is a need for the shinobi ways to change even if people do not think so.

Although he has lived for quite some time, he does not like the politics that the ninaj world bring to this world believing that such things were detrimental to the primary goal of serving the Emperor. As such he tries to stay away from such things though if the time came he is an excellent speaker and manipulator as well as knowing the inner workings of each of the high clans.

Ryu is very fond of Yami, having been her teacher since she was a child, he is also extremely loyal to her and is her most trusted ninja thus being entrusted with Sayumi and Reina’s protection if there was a time where Yami was not able to protect them. He adores the two girls, even if sometimes their antics tires him a lot and Sayumi’s childish behavior infuriates him sometimes.

History

As long as Yami has known Ryu has been her mentor and protector for a long time, his family had always been a loyal servant of Yami’s family and Ryu has continued this tradition by serving Yami’s father before her ascension. Little is known about his past as they are shrouded in secrecy and his missions even more so, however he is legendary for his fighting skills and his way of politics even if he no longer wishes to be involved in it.

What is known is that he is a strong fighter and he taught Yami everything she knew about the ninja world as well as how to fight, after Yami’s father died he pledged his loyalty and service to Yami swearing to protect and serve her much like how he served her father. Since then he had been with her every step of the way and is entrusted with many things that others do not, including the protection of Sayumi and Reina, now with the rise of the rebel shinobis he’s loyalty remains steadfast though he worries about the future.

“Proceeding well, they expect to complete it within a few days,” Ryu said, “there have been a few problems but it was nothing that they couldn’t handle.”

“I see…keep me apprised,” Yami said as Ryu nodded, “thanks for keeping an eye out on Sayumi and Reina while I was at the meeting the other day.”

“It is no problem Yami-sama, though do you really think they’ll rise to the top?” he asked as Yami smiled.

“I don’t just think,” she said looking at him, “I know they’ll rise to the top,” as Ryu sighed and shook his head, how could those childish girls ever rise to the top?
