His or Her Own Circumstances [Kotoha]

[Shun Sakazuki]

Letting out a yell, Shun swung his left leg. Tripping a no-good delinquent onto his back before dropping his left knee on their throat--knocking out their capability to breath for the moment. Sighing as he stood up, the youth adjusted the strap of his courier bag. Littered around him was about a gang's amount of men who had tried to assault him.

"Seriously guys, step it up. You either attack me too early or too late!" Shun shook his head, disappointed. He walked away, turning a corner and leaving behind the slums. Shun had just completed another delivery, finally making back up some money for his own living expenses. To make things better he hadn't been assaulted by any monsters or other Riders in awhile--a nice change of pace. Beating the usual delinquents was easy enough, and that was something he honestly preferred.

'Gills hasn't stirred for awhile either, I suppose this is a sign we're becoming one.' Shun thought as he continued to walk. He noticed a stand selling ice-cream up ahead and perked, 'Well, I can afford it, why not get a scoop?' he smiled. Walking up to the stand as he dug a hand into his left pants pocket.

[Kotoha Hanaori]

Kotoha leaned against a wall as she looked up and stared at the sky, it was another boring day, she didn't know what to do with herself. There wasn't any threat to Japan that required her, nor was there any errands for her to run, for all intents and purposes she was bored and she wished that something would happen.

She hadn't met with a lot of Shinkengers and she was starting to wonder if there any others other then her, Mariko, and Alexander. It would be nice to meet someone today so she can have a talk, as she slid down the wall and sat down as she tilted her head, "Hmm...wonder if my prince is going to come?" she wondered to herself remembering the Disney song.

"Thank you for your kind patronage, do come again!" The vendor thanked; handing Shun his two-scooped ice cream--simply because one scoop wasn't enough to satisfy the beast inside. Shun chuckled, giving the vendor a bit of a wave that said 'your welcome' before walking away with his cone in his hand.

"Not bad at all." Shun chuckled, licking the cone a few times. The flavor of cookie dough ice cream was amazing, even better with the combination of a scoop of brownie flavored ice cream on top of it. It was enough to make his taste-buds go nuts.

Shun in the middle of his bliss, continued to enjoy the sweet treat. Not aware that even in the middle of a place like this, disaster could strike. Unfortunately for Shun, it would. Taking a step forward--he felt his foot crush something, like a stick or something. Shun's eyes snapped open, but as they did he found himself falling forward--

"What the hell?!" He exclaimed as the ice cream flew from his hand as he slammed his face into the pavement of the ground, busting his nose and scraping his left knee up in the process. Shun let out a sharp groan of pain, as his ice cream had most unfortunately flown and landed not far if not in front of Kotoha.

Kotoha had been thinking too much to see who went past her, her eyes were glazed over as she wondered if she would ever have the opportunity to have friends and perhaps a boyfriend, the life of a samurai was a hard one and being heir to her family tradition even more. She sighed as she curled up to think more clearly when she heard a cry and then an ice cream cone fall in front of her as she saw a man fall down.

"Daijobou?" she asked as she went to the man, "Ah...you're injured," she exclaimed.

Shun pushed himself onto his hands and knees. Coughing some, he cursed a long string of swears under his breath as he looked up to find a woman approach him. He slowly registered the fact that she was concerned with his well-being, "I'm... I'm fine." He looked away as he replied. Getting onto his feet--or attempting too--before he felt the surge of pain in his left knee, cursing out with "Shit!" as he staggered and fell onto his right knee for a moment.

Shun bit his lip as he looked at his knee, he had scraped it pretty badly. Even more so, he didn't even notice the fact his nose was bleeding either. What an embarrassing way to appear before a stranger--even worst a woman.

[Kotoha Hanaori]

"Easy," Kotoha said helping the man up, "I think I need to get you to a doctor, you're badly injured," she said as she knew of a clinic close by where she could help the man.

[Shun Sakazuki]

"No no... I'm fine." He tried to tell her, he looked at his knee, the bleeding having already begun to slow down. One of the perks to having Gills was he had a bit of an advanced regeneration rate--it wasn't instantaneous but it was still a considerable difference then a normal person's. He then looked back at the woman, "Still, thanks for the concern." He tried to tell her. Feeling something wet under his nose, he figured it blood. "Er... You wouldn't happen to have a handkerchief or a tissue, would 'ya?" he asked, laughing timidly.

Kotoha watched as the knee seemed to be...healing itself? Was he some kind of monster? That couldn't be possible right? As the man asked for a tissue or handkerchief, "Oh I think I have a handkerchief somewhere," she said as she began to rummage around for one before finding one and giving it to the man, "here you go."

[Shun Sakazuki]

He smiled, "Arigatou." He thanked before taking the handkerchief and using it to wipe his nose--turning away as he did so. He hadn't snapped his nose out of place or anything, thank god for that, he was already feeling a sharp enough sting of pain from the knee. "G-gah, stings like a fucker..." He grumbled underneath his breath.

Noticing though he had bloodied the handkerchief, he couldn't help but frown. "Ah uh, Miss-chan, I've kind of... bloodied this thing. I could go find somewhere to wash it off if you'd like." He said, using his pet name of 'Miss-chan' for her, a strange pet name.

[Kotoha Hanaori]

"It's fine," Kotoha said taking the handkerchief and pocketing it, "I can do it on my own, I'm more worried about you...are you sure that you don't need to go see a doctor? You took a nasty fall just then."

[Shun Sakazuki]

"Thank you but, I've experienced worst. I'll be fine. Besides, I'd feel awfully bad if I took anymore time out of your day already, I'm sure a cute girl like you has better places to be." Shun rubbed the back of his head laughing.

[Kotoha Hanaori]

Kotoha giggled, "No it's fine, I don't have anywhere to be anyways, or anyone to meet for that matter," she said with a hint of sadness in her voice.

[Shun Sakazuki]

Shun perked, noticing that hint of sadness in her voice. He grew good at detecting these kinds of things, having been that kind of guy growing up who had thrown himself aside for the sake of others. He was about to open his mouth to say something when he heard yelling--looking over his shoulder he saw that the gang he had beat up earlier was approaching them.

"Oh, its these guys again--look, I've already kicked your guys' asses for the day. Just go on home." Shun turned, scratching his cheek with a sigh--although when they didn't say anything he perked. Opening an eye and looking at them he knew something was off. "...Wait..." He perked, 'Shit..!' he pieced two and two together, turning and grabbing Kotoha's hand.

"Well you do now, Miss-chan, c'mon..!" Shun took her by the hand and ran from the gang of men. The men just listlessly following after. Shun was unaware Kotoha could hold her own. Even so, Shun wouldn't want to go Gills infront of her.

"Huh? What?" Kotoha asked confused about what was going on, "Hey what's going on?" she asked as she ran with the man as she looked behind to see a group chasing after them, "Who are those guys?" she asked.

Shun continued to run, holding onto Kotoha's hand firmly as they created distance between them and the gang. "Well, they're suppose to be this gang of no-lifes who always try to beat me up to steal my deliveries." Shun explained, putting emphasis on suppose.
