The tune of his cell phone interrupted Joseph from his work. His victim seemed relieved for the reprieve. She was a fairly attractive woman who, at the moment, was completely naked and strapped into a St. Andrews Cross. She was also gagged with copious amounts of duct tape, and her body was covered with cuts, scars and bruises. Joseph put down the candle he was about to use to drip melted wax on her, blew it out and answered his phone. "Hello?" Joseph said. " Joseph, I need you to do something for me." Daniel said through the phone. "Really? I'm in the middle of something." Joseph said almost petulantly. " She can wait. Knowing you, she's probably tied up in some way. She's not going anywhere." Daniel said. Joseph sighed. "Fine, give me a moment." " Hurry it up. This is a very important meeting. It's bad form to be late." Daniel said, hanging up. Joseph took the girl down off of the cross and grabbed some rope, tying her arms at the wrists and elbows, her feet at the knees and ankles, then tying the wrists to the ankles, pulling it so her hands almost touched her feet. He left her like that, and walked out to go to this "meeting".

Vladimir stood outside, beneath the glow of the full moon. The sky was clear, pitch black to describe its color, riddled with a bare minimal number of stars. The rather aged yet attractive form of the man known as Vladimir remained rather stalwart as he seemingly gazed out at a view of a rather beautiful waterfront before him. His eyes narrowed, oh how he would simply love to riddle this to nothingness, what you may ask? Well, everything. He expressed a sigh, displeased, things had gone back to moving slow--a pace he hated most.
Reaching into his pocket, Vladimir withdrew a small cellular device. Pressing a button near its top with his phone, as his eyes narrowed further. The time... It was practically the moment that they would run late. He hated it when people were tardy. Being tardy to the party wasn't something that flew for him. "If they arrive late... I may grow anxious and set off a bomb or two around me, seeing all this night-time beauty is rather... unsettling." He mumbled to himself, 'It's enough to make my trigger finger for destruction gain a most uncontrollable itch.'

"I suppose you are the one Daniel was talking about. If happen to be late, I apologize. I had to make sure the business I was attending to was secure." Joseph said, thinking of the girl he had kidnapped about a week before. "I'm Joseph, and I represent the Pseudocracy. Could I know who I am dealing with?"

Vladimir tucked his phone away, hearing the sound of a voice he slowly turned in direction too it. "In the business world, it is quite common courtesy to address your own identity before requesting the identity of another." He responded. His voice came out sharp, yet cold. He made a bit of a... amused... smirk at the corners of his mouth as he scanned the man before him.
"Of course, I shall amuse you and oblige to your request. My name is Vladimir Flügel; of course that is but an alias. You would probably identify me better with the name of 'Null'." He grinned wider now. His eyes seeming to glow a dim red as he now had his arms at his sides.

"Okay, Null, tell me: What is it you want? Knowing Daniel, I'm going to assume an alliance of some kind, perhaps some weaponry from Justifier." Joseph replied.

"You were right the first time." Vladimir chuckled, "An alliance was the reason I had attempted contact with you." He seemed amused by this, "I am the head of my own arms organization so more weaponry is not quite something I require--rather it is allies who share a common interest."

"And that interest would be? I'm still not entirely certain what Daniel wants to do, but he lets me do whatever I want so I don't really worry."

"Global monopolization of the arms industry, enough to bring the world to its knees with enough weaponry to set it ablaze!" He proclaimed, "That kind of interest: Mass destruction, to put it into two words." He grinned.

"So, one of those stereotypical destroy-the-world types. Honestly, the first time I've met one. Usually, the people I deal with just want specific control of a certain area. So, I believe an alliance is in order, then." Joseph said, thinking on his past experiences with crime lords. This is one of the few times he could remember where he didn't have to torture someone to get the alliance made.

"You will find that my taste in mass destruction is most peculiar." Vladimir mused, he extended a hand, "Aside from that, I suppose we should make this official." His eyes lowered--"After all, human or not I am still a man of formalities."

Joseph ignored what he said about "human or not", having extensive dealings with less-than-human beings himself, and in fact, helping to create them. He took Null's hand and shook it firmly. "It's official, then. Now, since we are allies, what do you mean by 'your taste in mass destruction is most peculiar'?" Joseph asked, retracting his hand.

"What I prefer most, is to cause governments to destroy themselves from the inside out. Being first-hand a part of the destruction is most pleasant, as well as fun, however I find the most satisfaction spawning when I have contributed to the destruction of an entire government from inside of it--all the way to the outside." Vladimir chuckled, pulling his hand away following the 'official making' of their organizations' alliance.

"Hm. I'm a bit more straightforward myself, but then again, I torture people. What do I know about strategy or tactics." Joseph said, muttering the last half, making it quite clear that Daniel had expressed this sentiment to Joseph on multiple occasions and it annoyed Joseph deeply. Of course, to the trained listener. A normal person might just think he was mumbling, and call him a mumbler.

Vladimir had picked up on his mumbles--his enhanced hearing remaining active even in his human guise--he made a bit of a amused chuckle; "Well, fear not, with me as your ally--I may serve to cover for your weaknesses. Tactical Warfare just happens to be my personal specialty--or rather, one of them." He cackled.

"Daniel's the business genius. I'm the one who gets his hands dirty. You know, I think I'm starting to like this alliance more and more." Joseph said.
