Aurelio ran in, putting himself between Rex and the man. He didn't speak, because of his accent. He needed the mouthpiece on, for the sake of disguising his voice.
He withdrew the whip, extending the Ridol as a melee weapon.

Rex came at Aurelio with a quick diagonal slash, aimed at the chest.

He parried it quickly, pushing back and using the moment to attach his mouthpiece.

He grips the handle with both hands before slashing at Aurelio's waist.

Aurelio stepped back, swinging his weapon down to make the parry, "Run," he told the man.

Rex chased after him.

Aurelio swung his weapon out, lashing it out for Rex's leg in whip mode.

It dripped up Rex and he fell flat on his face.
"You son of a bitch!"
He pulls himself back up before dusting off his jacket and fixing his shades. He grips his sword tight and points it at Aurelio.
"It seems i can't move on to the next level until i defeat the boss. So be it!"
He hops up into the air and attempts to slash his opponent downward, starting with the top of the head.

Aurelio swung his weapon up and made the sidestep as well, trying to get to Rex's side.

After taking two hits already, Rex didn't plan on taking anymore. Rex swiftly halted his attack and instead used his blade to block Aurelio's weapon. He then attempted to kick Aurelio right in the side while their weapons were preoccupied with each other.

He took the kick and stumbled a few steps, swinging his Ridol down in whip mode, swinging it out for Rex.
