Overview:
Daniel is an almost carefree man who wants to get things done. He’s determined to get anything done when he puts his mind to it. He can be cold and unforgiving, giving no second chances. He’s a man who is turned off by alcohol, and has almost sworn off women for things in the past. He can be foolish, and holds belief in things like aliens cryptozoology, and is also superstitious to a degree. He won’t shy away from conflict, and will be the first to throw a punch. Often he can make an ass of himself by his attitude, but he tries to get himself out of it. He has some knowledge of various facets of pop culture, from childish (Spongebob) to others (Dark Knight Trilogy). He does enjoy the occasional use of marijuana.

History
Daniel was born in a household with a somewhat neglectful father who was an author. His father often drank and would be abusive sometimes to Daniel. Daniel had a younger brother named Steven, but Steven didn’t make it past three, partially because of their father.
As Daniel grew to fifteen, his father died of liver failure. They had some money that their father hadn’t drunken away, so they had some support. His mother remarried right away, but he didn’t like his new step-father that much, so it didn’t affect him too much.
When Daniel was twenty two and in college, he met a woman named Emilia. They began a relationship for the next five years, until he left her after getting her pregnant. It was partially because of alcohol that it happened, as like his father, Daniel had become a heavier drinker.
Even though Daniel and Emilia had had good times together, he left her, not wanting a child. But as he disappeared from her life, and swore off drinking and women because of this, he focused more on other parts of life. Namely being an ass due to his desire to drink, and picking fights.
He had studied politics and geographic subjects in college. Due to his lack of vices, and his knowledge, he was approached for what seemed to be a low end city position. That turned out to be his actual job for a while. When deemed competent, he was moved up to a minor government position. When he showed competence in finishing work, he was finally brought into the Special Operations Team.
When brought in to fight for an unspecified position – literally fight – he turned out to be pretty good at it. Unpredictable, and he usually didn’t give up. They trained him in some espionage, and equipped him as part of the Five Rangers unit, making him Ranger Red, a leader. At least for the time being.
Using this position, he’s been sending money to Emilia and their daughter, Selina. Even though Selina would be seventeen by the time he got this position, he figured the money would still be a help, and a small apology for leaving.

After turning down an invitation from some sort of prostitute for a blowjob as he walked away, he heard a man shouting behind him.
“You too good for my girl?” he shouted.
Daniel turned to look at him, “I’m not that type of guy,” he said.
“Oh, maybe a man then?” the man shouted.
“No,” he said, “I’m free of the sexual desires.” He looked at her, then back at the man, “Ok, maybe not entirely free, but no.”
The man walked up to Daniel, “What’s that supposed to mean?” he demanded. Daniel noticed clenched fists.
“Oh, you know. I wumbo, you wumbo, he, she, we,” he threw the first punch in the man’s confusion, taking him down. He added in a few kicks before the man who was with him ran for Daniel. But Daniel was smart enough not to get dragged in, and made his way away.
