The woman considered this. "You are the first visitors from beyond the Line we've had in many years. We will bring you to the Queen, and let her judge you, for I am a mere entry guard. Cut them down, but be sure to restrain them adequately. And keep the woman separate. She must be traumatized after such a long time in the company of men."

Jack had no idea what to do. If he could get his arms free, he'd try Morphing, of course. But after that? No real ideas.

The women cut the two of them down and used the ropes that had caught them to keep them restrained, walking them on the platforms in the canopy. On the floor, the two women moved some camouflage to reveal a jeep. One climbed into the driver's seat, and the other opened a door in the backseat and motioned for Tanya to climb in.

Tanya got into the jeep, surprised to find something so modern here, as she looked to the men nervously, "Nice jeep you have...how did you get it?" she asked.

Ian continued to rush through the jungle, searching for the others. This wasn't good. He didn't dare try to contact them. Something was wrong, that much was certain.

"We've scavenged a few things from various shipwrecks that managed to cross the Line. Mostly wrecked, but we've built what we have from what we've found." The woman in driver's seat answered as the other woman climbed into the passenger seat after closing the door behind Tanya, and they drove off down the wide trail in the forest.

"We are approaching the city." The woman said as a tall stone gate became visible in the distance.
The men were also getting close, approaching a hole carved in the wall so the pathway would pass through.

Camden, being gagged, was unable to respond. He suspected the women didn't know what they could do.
He tried to communicate that they should hold off through sign language in a way so the women wouldn't notice.

Sebastian nodded, getting the vague hit that they should hold off on their grand escape for the time being.
Sebastian sighed, "Let's just hope they don't bloody castrate us when we get there.........."
