Overview: Kiryu is a painfully sarcastic and very sadistic Façade. He finds pleasure in inflicting pain in others, one of his favorite human words being Schadenfreude. He will usually stop at nothing to kill someone, but will take his time to torture them, especially enjoying it if he has the time to make them feel every speck of pain. Despite this, he is completely loyal to Master Orochi, and will immediately drop whatever task he is doing in order to follow Orochi’s will. He considers the other Façades phonies who have no real respect for his Master, and will gladly attack them whenever the situation arises.

Henshin Sequence: Kiryu lets out a sinister chuckle as his body is shrouded in a purple mist. The mist solidifies over him, crafting a black and purple armor-like robe over his body.

  Image/ Description: This, but the clothing’s a little more loose to create a robe-like appearance.

  Weapons: Dragon’s Griever – A lance imbued with the powers of the Earth.

  The following abilities can also be used outside of Kohryu Façade form:
  
  Masked Space: All Facades can create a temporary pocket dimension around themselves, and most do immediately upon arrival, forcing someone to fight them "on their own turf". Though they're also known to use this space to store captured victims. Defeating the Facade will disrupt this pocket dimension, and eject all inside. Kohryu's Masked Space is a valley in which the spirits of dragons fly around. A throne is in the middle of the Masked Space, signifying Kohryu as the king of the dragons.
  
  Facade Buster: A fairly standard ranged attack, Facades fire spheres of charged matter that detonate on impact. All Facades can use this power, though their power with it may vary.
  
  "Paint, Facade": This command allows more powerful (or at least more clever) Facades to completely disguise themselves as a normal human, though all Facades are actually capable of doing this.
  
  Freak Show: Catch the Wave – Counters an energy-based or magical attack by quite literally pushing it back toward the attacker.
  
  Freak Show: Break the Earth – Slams his fist into the Earth in order to create a gauntlet, which he then uses to attack his opponent.
  
  Freak Show: Destroy the Universe – Covers his body in an earthen armor in order to fight.
  
  Freak Show: Release the Pain – Covers his foot in an Earth casing in order to empower his kicks.
  
  Freak Show: Create the Peace – A quick, and very direct, punch to the opponent’s head.

  Gravity Cannon – Uses the force of gravity to push the opponent to a desired location.

  Transformation: Kiryu lets out a sadistic laugh as his body is shrouded by a dark mist. “Façade… UNMASK!” he declares as the mist surrounds him, making him grow and transform into a dragon-like beast.
  Fighting Style: More range-oriented than previously while still incorporating the Freak Show techniques.

History

Like his kin, it is unknown if he was born or created from nothingness. What is known, however, is that there is a special place in hell for beings such as him. He appears in myths as Kohryu or Huang Long, the leader of the Ssu-Ling. Although certain myths recognize him as a heroic dragon that brings peace, in reality the peace he brought was created through bloodshed and sacrifice. He would regularly tease the villagers, forcing them to give up their food and children for his sick amusement as they died of hunger.

Eventually, he grew bored of toying with the people and created a pet for himself, the Thanatos façade. Together with this façade, he created a hell on earth, creating droughts at a whims notice by stripping the lands bare. He was one of the first Façade to be locked away, and subsequently, one of the first to come back. He immediately promised to return the Earth to the Hell it once was.

Overview: Shin’s personality is that of an obedient butler. He follows Kiryu’s orders without question, and will destroy whatever stands in the path of his objective. He is very serious, very rarely making a joke (though, he does have his own brand of humor). Although he does not always agree with Kiryu’s methods, he will follow each command as best he can and won’t think twice about killing. He also takes his title as the Grim Reaper very seriously as well, and when he has the time, he will, as he puts it, “guide souls to the afterlife.”

Henshin Sequence: Shin silently walks forward as a blast of dark mist hits him, solidifying over him and granting him the form of a black demon in a loose robe and a black mask.

  Fighting Style: Heavy reliance on the Death Slice and keeping a distance from the foe. If the foe is close, he relies on his Jutsu.
  Weapons: Death Slice – A twin-bladed guillotine carved from the Earth itself.

  The following abilities are available outside of Thanatos Façade form:

  Jutsu: Dark Mist – Covers the area in a heavy dark mist.
  
  Jutsu: Subarashii, kono sekai – Usable only after Dark Mist. Plays illusions (more akin to nightmares, but don’t necessarily have to be) to confuse, anger, or dishearten the captives of the Dark Mist.

  Weapons: The Eight Coffins – Eight swords hidden inside of the coffins that float around him.

  Gravity Blade – Uses The Eight Coffins as vorpal swords, making them fly in and out of his Masked Space.
  
  The Eight Cannons – If the coffins are empty, he uses them to fire boulders from their tops.

  The Eight Hells – Slams five of the coffins into the ground in a circle shape while the other three draw a pentagram, using the former five coffins as corners. The inside of the pentagram becomes a gravity chamber with varying blasts of gravity pressing down on the opponent (starting at 2x, then 4x, then 8x, then 16x, and so on until all eight stages are reached).

History

The Thanatos façade was created by the Kohryu façade in an act of boredom. At first he was confused, suddenly brought into an existence that he knew nothing about. He destroyed many kingdoms and created many plagues. However, Kohryu came back to retrieve him and forced Thanatos to acknowledge himself for what he was: an artificial life created because of a bored whim. Seeing no purpose to his life other than the obvious, Thanatos vowed his existence to Kohryu.

Upon learning that Kohryu was sealed, Thanatos slayed many humans and delivered them to the other side. Due to his intense but uncontrollable rage, he was easily sealed away. Once Kohryu was freed, he broke Thanatos out of his jail and the two came to the human world in order to once again spread death and destruction.

Shin bowed to his master, who sat upon the throne in Kiryu’s Masked Space. Kiryu was examining what appeared to be a large tooth, a sharp one at that. He was lost in thought, his fedora hanging haphazardly as he stared at the tooth. A dragon flew over them, letting out a roar as it flew off toward the nearest mountain peak. “Shin… It’s about that time that we killed the humans…” Kiryu said, his eyes still on the tooth.

“Indeed, Master,” Shin responded, collapsing to a knee. “I will follow you until the very bitter end. Your wish is my command,” he said in a serious tone, picking up his head to gaze at the man on the throne. Shin swiftly stood up and exited the Masked Space, leaving a dark mist where he once stood.
