Overview: Much like a lot of her fellow AKB singers, Mayuyu is extremely cheerful, friendly and energetic. She doesn't let the fact that she's a cyborg get her down at all. Instead, she puts all the energy that should go towards her sadness into her will, making her incredibly strong-willed.

History
As a child, Mayu was involved in a terrible accident that involved a plane crashing into a truck, which Mayu's family car crashed into. There were no casualties, but several of Mayu's bones were broken, and the family were unable to afford the surgery to fix them. Fortunately, an answer came in the form of experimental biotechnology. A scientist used Mayu as a test subject, turning her into a combat-ready cyborg: Big One.
A few years later, Mayu got into singing. Apparently, she was so good, that a talent scout "scouted" her out to join AKB. She joined AKB48 in 2006. Assigned to Team B, a long and fruitful career lay ahead of her, both in singing and fighting evil. Yet it was the singing that took up most of her life. Releasing two hit singles early on in her career, she gained the public's attention as "Mayuyu", especially when she posed for a picture that depicted her as a cyborg. Oh, the irony.

The crowd were cheering her name. Or at least, her nickname.
"Mayuyu! Mayuyu!"
It was their anticipation of her that made Mayu weak at the knees. What if she slipped up? She would never be able to forgive herself, and neither would the rest of the team. The negative thoughts raced through her head as the chanting continued.
"Mayuyu! Mayuyu!"
No. She wouldn't allow any mistakes. Not tonight. It was the biggest night of her career. Hundreds, no, thousands of people had turned up to hear her sing. Not tonight. No slip-ups.
"Mayuyu! Mayuyu!"
Swallowing her pride, Mayu stepped out onto the stage, to the tumultuous roar of the crowd. They loved her. And she loved them right back.
