City of Nightmares (Planning)

Okay, the basic idea here is a group of people trapped inside a city, either Atlanta or Los Angeles. Something has happened and the city appears to have ben transported into another dimension, a realm of darkness and nightmares. Essentially the Otherworld, for the Silent Hill players out there. All sorts of crazy sh*t lives in this realm, but the most common are humans possessed by monsters the survivors have termed "shades". Shades are essentially living shadows, which can either function like the shadow creatures from Doctor Who, or can possess people. The sign of a possession is pure black eyes. The main objective of the group is to escape this dimension via a portal in either the Georgia Dome (Atlanta) or the LA Stadium. I'll control the main villain, who shall remain secret at this time.
