Overview: David is a rather serious, somber man. He doesn’t appreciate jokes, as he feels they distract from the task at hand. He REALLY doesn’t like it when people disobey him, and tends to respond physically if he gets angry. He also has a problem leading teams with other people, and will often rationalize why he’s the better leader if he’s forced to do so.

History

Daniel was born into a relatively middle-class family, living humbly. His parents were both cops, so he learned a sense of order quickly. When he was about 7, his family began caring for Mina, the daughter of a family friend who had fallen ill. David eventually came to see her as a younger sister almost, and advocated that they keep her when her father passed away from cancer.
In school, he was always quite smart. He was straight-laced throughout, never deviating from his straight-arrow path. He got into a good university and graduated with some pretty good honors, getting a job as a cop. One day, he noticed a strange mark on the back of his hand. He thought nothing of it, until he found Mina had a similar mark. Within the week, Dr. Michaels had found the both of them and offered them jobs at ZODIAC. Once David learned what his mark could do, he joined ZODIAC immediately, wishing to use this power to help the greater good. Due to joining early and being one of their best agents, David was soon promoted to the rank of Senior Agent and he essentially declared himself leader of the Gransazers.

Sample RP: David sat in the ZODIAC base in London, reading a book. He had his feet up on the table, and he was pretty relaxed. Up until the moment when the chair suddenly gave way, sending him flying onto his back.
“Yes! It worked!” Dr. Michaels said, walking in with a look of victory on his face and a car keyfob in his hand.
“How long did it take you to rig the chair and that keyfob to do this?” David asked.
“A very long time. But the look on your face was so worth it! I even got a picture!” Dr. Michaels said, holding up a photograph of David’s face moments after the chair triggered.
“You, sir, are a child.” David said angrily, dusting off his pants and grabbing his book.
“You’re only young once, but you can be immature forever!” Dr. Michaels yelled as David stormed off.

She cares deeply for David, and is not at all afraid to protect him.

History

Mina’s parents immigrated to Britain from Russia when she was very young, so while she was born in Russia, she was raised in Britain. Her mother died in a stickup gone wrong when she was 18 months, so she never really knew her mother. Her father became a cop, and became friends with David’s parents, until he contracted esophageal cancer and was given not long to live. He asked the Kuno family to begin caring for Mina, since he was no longer able to since he was bedridden at the hospital, so she moved in with them, meeting David. Her father died a year later, and she became a permanent fixture in the Kuno household.
As she grew, she loved the outdoors. The purity of nature just seemed right to her. She spent as much time as she could in the woods near her home, and when it came time to pick a major, she chose conservation. She discovered the mark on the back of her hand when she was 19, and was surprised to find David had one too. Not very long afterward, she was contacted by Dr. Michaels. She refused to join ZODIAC, as she abhorred conflict. She did, however, agree to receive training in combat in case she did have to fight. When she graduated, she went into postgraduate studies so she could get her doctorate, and is still studying for that at the moment, while defending the world somewhat reluctantly.

Overview: Dr. Michaels is a very carefree, happy man. He enjoys playing pranks on people, his crowning achievement being saran-wrapping his greatest enemy’s car on a day when it climbed to 100 degrees. He can get serious if the situation calls for it, however; it just takes Zen-like focus on the Good Doctor’s part.

History

Frederick’s love of science started early, with his fascination with the woods behind his house. As he grew, he was getting great marks in school, developing a love for history, and was soon accepted into a good college, getting a degree in archaeology. He became an assistant to an archaeologist, coming with him on several digs to many exotic places until, one day, in a dig in China; the old man contracted meningitis and died. At the funeral, Frederick swore to continue his work, returning to school for his doctorate and going back out into the field.
At the same dig site in China, he found an ancient tome that spoke of the First Civilization. Excited by this discovery, Frederick followed more leads, learning of the Gransazers, until he eventually found Dolcross in a dig in Japan. He figured that the unearthing of Dolcross must have triggered some kind of reaction, since the RKC showed up not long after. Frederick, bringing a couple of Gransazers he had found on his adventures, formed ZODIAC, making partnerships with many governments worldwide. He soon found the other three Chouseishin at separate digs, finding Guncaesar last, much to David’s annoyance. He continues to lead ZODIAC, waiting for the RKC to make their move.
