Stars have proven to hold powers for various reasons. They've already powered at least one other team, and another has crashed to Earth. Upon impact, the fragments flew outwards and were sent into five different people, giving them a power of alien origin, the power to become a new team of Power Rangers, with an array of light based powers. Of note is that the team will be together at times, and away at others. It's not overly organized.
