Overview: Deacon was never able to participate in sports as a child due to having been born with a congenital heart defect, so he directed his talents toward the arts. Despite being entirely straight, he had more friends that were girls than guys. Due to his interest in clothing, he's had more than one man call him gay, and he was forced to learn how to fight due to mistaken homophobes attacking him. He's kind of like Kurt from Glee, except he's straight. He even has a few of the people who tormented him in school working in the mailroom of his company headquarters. He's fiercely protective of Cath, and will totally act if she's harmed. He places great trust in his summoned creatures and Cath, and will willingly trust his life to both parties. Some might say he's overly protective of Cath, but she's glad he does it, and it's almost compulsive for him at this point.

History

Deacon was born with a congenital heart defect, and was not expected to live past infant-hood. However, he not only survived, he thrived. He was unable to participate in any kind of physical activity because of his heart, but didn't want to. He had developed a fascination with clothing as a young boy, and this developed into a interest in fashion. His mother died giving birth to his sister when he was three, and his father closed himself off to the world, grieving for his mother. As he grew, he was always concerned with what was in style and a variety of other things, leading to him becoming known as the gay kid, despite being straight as an arrow. He was also a bit of a predilection to being friends with girls than guys, reinforcing this stereotype. In response, Deacon worked out a plan with his friends, and began "cycling" through girlfriends every month, making a point of having more girlfriends than the men making fun of him. However, this attracted the attention of some homophobes, and he was jumped and beaten one night when he was 12, being told to stay away from the girls so he wouldn't corrupt them with his homosexual ways.
About a week after that incident, he was at the beach alone and accidentally summoned Leviathan for the first time. Leviathan explained that he was Deacon's Soul Kindred, and that Deacon was a Summoner. Soon after, he learned his father had been one and Cath was one as well. However, his father ad tried to keep their talent a secret from the League, for reasons unknown. As he began training, his father hung himself, forcing Deacon to move in with his aunt. He continued to train and work with his fashion interest, forgoing college once he graduated a year early at age 17 and formed his own clothing line. At first he was kind of small, but once a famous actor was seen wearing one of his shirts at a movie premiere, his line virtually exploded, growing into a multinational corporation nearly overnight. Deacon, having freshly turned 18, began hiring people and moved his company to London, becoming massively famous as one of the youngest, most successful fashion designers in the history of the business. He greatly enjoyed his success, and paid for Cath's therapy once he heard of the incident. When he was 20, he was approached by a representative of the League of Extraordinary Summoners, who was surprised that he had managed to develop his powers so much without any sort of external aid. He was trained in the proper technique of summoning, and given his staff to symbolize that he was now a member of the League. When Cath graduated, he offered her both a job and membership to the League, both of which she accepted. He gave her her gloves when she arrived, to serve as a symbol much like his staff did of her membership.

Sample RP: Deacon continued backing up. He glanced behind him at the cliff fast approaching, and back at the monster that was pushing him toward it. He gripped the staff in his hand and stood his ground.
"It's no use. You are dead, you just haven't hit the floor." The monster snarled.
Deacon heard the crash of the ocean behind him, and got an idea. "You seem to be mistaken."
"In what way?" The monster asked.
"LEVIATHAN!" Deacon yelled, slamming his staff into the ground. There was a rumble, and the titanic sea dragon exploded out of the ocean behind him, soaking Deacon and the monster.
"Your wish is my command." Leviathan stated in his deep voice.
"You know what to do." Deacon said, gesturing toward the now-terrified monster.
"I do indeed." Leviathan said, rearing back and unleashing a jet of boiling water, boiling the monster away to nothing in seconds. It's last sound was a scream of fear and pain.
"Thank you, old friend. You are dismissed." Deacon said. Leviathan nodded, and vanished into the depths

Overview: Cath is a friendly girl, and enjoys her life, working with her brother and doing what she loves. She's somewhat talkative, and on occasion, sarcastic. She is also prone to nerdgasms if she sees anything related to Doctor Who. She does have her dark side, though. If her PTSD is triggered, she becomes hyper-aware of her surroundings and has a panic attack, and has been known to go into a complete emotional shutdown. This is so strong, it's even happened to her waking up in a hotel room.

History

Catherine never knew her mother, since she died in childbirth. Her father was grieving for most of her childhood, so she was raised by Deacon. Deacon's love of clothing inspired her, and she began to take an interest in fashion too. As she grew, this focused further into a specialty in dresses, and began learning the fine art of dressmaking from her aunt, who was a professional dressmaker. Her father died soon after, so she moved in with her aunt and continued her training. When she was 10, she discovered her lineage as a Summoner, and summoned Harpy for the first time. She began to train herself as a Summoner, with occasional help from Deacon, as well as continuing to learn dressmaking and discovering Doctor Who, becoming a nerd. She learned her various new skills quickly, and was very skilled at dressmaking by the time she was 13. This was just in time, and she began taking orders from friends and making dresses, soon becoming famous at school and making friends with a number of people, including one Hunter Roberts. She essentially friendzoned Hunter, and this was the exact wrong decision to make.
One night, when she was 16, her aunt was out of town and she was alone. She went to sleep, and while she was asleep, Hunter broke into her house and kidnapped her. She woke up in a strange place, naked and tied to a bed. Over the course of the next few days, Hunter raped her numerous times. This ended when she summoned Harpy, and Harpy brutalized Hunter, nearly killing him, before freeing her and bringing her home. She began seeing a therapist for her traumatic experience, and stopped seeing him when she graduated high school. Deacon recruited her both into the League and for a job at his clothing line, and she accepted both, moving to Europe with him and starting her new life. Upon her arrival, she received her gloves from Deacon, which he explained was a symbol of her membership to the League.

Abilities: Can swim at incredible speeds and create a bubble of air around itself when underwater so as to protect anyone riding him. It can also shoot a jet of boiling water at incredible pressure, enough to boil away a living creature into nothing but steam. It's also capable of duking it out with a Megazord-sized creature.

Abilities: Men who ride these horses of the waves gain the ability to breathe underwater, specifically so the horse may gallop fully underwater. It can travel through the water at a top speed of 500 mph, and dive almost half a mile with a rider, a full mile without.

Image/ Description: Stunningly beautiful women with fish tails in place of legs and seashell bras.
Motif: Woman, Fish
Abilities: It can swim at amazing speeds and with amazing agility, but it's most notable ability is it's song: when it sings, men listen. It's voice is capable of controlling men's minds to a limited degree, and as it sings in a voice that only it's target can hear, he will do whatever it says. However, this only works if it's singing. They also have razor-sharp teeth and nails.
Another notable aspect of the mermaid is that they are incredibly jealous creatures: if they feel threatened or are jealous of a woman, they are not opposed to kidnapping them and imprisoning them to keep them out of the way, the most common method being what Deacon has named a "mermaid skin", which is a suit that seals the legs together and the arms behind the back, as well as gagging the victim and giving them water breathing.

Type Of Monster: Summoned Creature of the Wind
Image/ Description: A stunningly beautiful woman with legs that, starting at about midway down the thigh, turn into feathered bird legs that end in talons. She also has a pair of wings with a wingspan of about 15 feet sprouting out of her shoulders, and nails like claws on her hands. She has a moral opposition to clothing.
Motif: Woman, Bird
Abilities: She can fly both at incredible speed and with incredible agility, and unleash a piercing shriek which can break glass and burst eardrums. Her talons can cut through just about any manmade material.

Abilities: It literally has only one purpose: it binds itself to someone's body temporarily to grant them wings with a wingspan twice as long as they are tall.
