Eyeing the new arrival suspiciously, the Gunslinger shook his head. "I'm afraid I don't know how to play."

Kuro moves his body so he is blocking the new arrival from Shiro's eyesight.
"Don't know how to play checkers?" Shiro tries to hold back a laugh, "What rock have you been livin' under? Even the most simplest of children can play this game."
Shiro pulls over a trashcan and flips it over, resting the unfolded checkers board on top of it. He then places the pieces on the board.
"I'll be blood red and you can be black. Black usually goes first, but you know fuck that rule - red is going first."
