"In a sense. I'm sure we all come from tortured pasts. It almost seems as though that's a catalyst for summoning, but I can't prove that. If we do find that person, I would like to keep them away from the League until we can find out their objective," Hanz noted as their food arrived. "I treat you guys like family because you're the only people I've got in this world. No one else means anything to me. I want it to be the same with them."

"The important thing here is that we find him before the Counsel does," Hanz said before making a makeshift sandwich with some of the things on the platter. "Otherwise, there's no telling what could happen."

"The League uses us as weapons, does it not? It's a mercenary organization, I've had to kill people before," he admitted. "What's to stop them from using the king of demons to make the world bow in fear? That's just an unfair advantage in general."

We are neither evil nor good, we are simply those who hunger. We thirst. Not for blood, but for money. That makes us either the best or the worst people. All that aside, how's work?"

Deacon looked like he wanted to say something, but decided against it.
"Yikes." Cath muttered.
"I'm sure the Mermaids wouldn't mind. Hell, they're not opposed to kidnapping women, I'm sure they wouldn't mind killing men." Deacon remarked.
"Yeah, about that. Keep them away from me, please." Cath said.
"I've already informed them you're off limits. If that doesn't work, Leviathan can discipline them." Deacon replied.

"One more warning," Hanz said as he finished the sandwich. "When the time comes that you're asked to kill, don't hesitate. While I'm not saying that you should go on a killing spree, remember that it's either them or us. The Counsel looks at everything, and there is no backing out of the League."
